Very scary. Glad all the kids got home safely.

My husband is stuck on Graham Rd along with several other people.

Bobo Rd at Forest Ct there is ice in the curve.
I was going to go to the UPS store on E Paulding, but it will wait til tomorrow.

Good grief have times changed. A fight on the bus now requires a ride to jail. Amazing.
As it does if it happens at school - no matter who starts it.
-
Glad he will be okay.

Praying for good news.

Sounds yummy. I can almost smell that fried chicken.

I gave him the beatdown and then went to Confession the next day and was absolved. And we did have the stuffed bell peppers for dinner that night. When he plopped the pan in the garbage he did it right side up, and the garbage can was almost full, so I only had to pick the pan up out of it and wash the bottom off.
About a year later, he was telling this story to a group of people we had over for dinner one night. He was just laughing away but no one else was. You could see by their faces they were thinking, "Omg, what a jacka$$". And that made me happy.
I know what you mean. It made me happy to get the moral support when I told my story too. I understand when something tastes different and you have every right to tell me if you don't like it, but to obnoxiously throw the whole plate of food away, well that was just rude. I can't cook like I used too because I have fibromyalgia and it takes a lot of effort now.

What was the guy from Louisiana, was it Justin Wilson? He was fun to watch.

Thanks for the moral support!!

Measure twice, cut once...
Oh, wait.
Buy this cookbook and use it regularly. It has answers to all those pesky cooking questions like substitutions and such AND has some great, classic recipes.
Yep, I have two of those and a Betty Crocker cookbook.

Don't alter a tried and true recipe thinking you'll make it better, causing your picky husband to obnoxiously throw the whole plate of food in the garbage.

I recently found a recipe for spinach lasagna, but instead of the lasagna noodles, I take spinach, onions, garlic, creamed cheese and mozzerella cheese, stuff it into the large seashell macaroni, place into a cassarole dish, top with spaghetti sauce and mozzerella and bake at 350 for 25 minutes
That sounds really good too!

You can substitute cottage cheese/riccota blend or straight cottage cheese.
Thanks, I know but he won't eat it that way either. He just likes mozzarella in his, with ground beef. I like mine cheesy with ricotta and mozzarella with no meat, but I would put the spinach in mine.

I can't remember if The Capitol s/d has gates or not,but it is connected to Senators Ridges by a common street in the back
I think they both have security gates that close at 8 PM.

That recipe sounds really good. Unfortunatly my husband doesn't like the ricotta cheese in lasagna, so when I make it I have to make two different kinds - one with, one without. Let us know how it turns out when you make it.

YAY! for our local law enforcement!!

Thank you for posting this. I was wondering just this morning where a drop off place is.

I guess they're supposed to take their kids to school in their own car and then go back home and get the patrol car and then go in to work.

I LOVE your idea of waiving the deposit if the tenants will clean it up. Great idea.
I agree. I can't tell you how many times I paid a deposit and still had to clean it before moving in and always left it clean when I moved out.

Well it's certainly clear as mud to me.

That must be why my laptop keeps telling me my battery is nearing the end of it's usable life, because I keep mine plugged in nearly all the time. Thanks for the info.

I'm very sorry for your loss. The holidays will be especially hard since I see his birthday is the day after Christmas. Prayers for strenth and comfort for all of you.

I read that Saturday, November 27th has been proclaimed small business day.
My husband was just held hostage for 3 hours

I'm sure there are a lot of emotions running high tonight and so many of us have been sitting at home reading and posting on pcom while others are stranded or have loved ones that are stranded. I listened to my husband rant and rave over the phone when he was stranded - he's home now and he has calmed down. It's okay to vent. I don't know how an officer would have notified the people that were being "held hostage" if the roads were that bad unless he told the nearest person and they got out of their car and told the next person and they kept passing the info on. But then if they all tried to turn around and go a different way that might have caused a bigger mess. The biggest problem I see is that once again our weather people underestimated therefore no one was prepared.
