  1. Hi all!

I'm looking for a Burger King outfit (the one in the the commercial) with that creepy King that just stares at you then suddenly provides you breakfast.  If anyone has one or knows where I could get one I would most appreciate it.

Guess I have missed those Commericial's, I was going to say get a job at Burger kind and you will have a outfit  hey I think i still got a old uniform I could be a Dominoes worker LOL..

  2. Well I called Abercrombie and told them the problem, they said they would help me out. They are sending a tow truck over to Transman to pickup my Jeep. Hopefully this can be fixed without costing me much.

Thank you Transman for taking the time and work to diagnose the problem. I know you spent a good amount of time on it, and don't understand why you don't want to be paid for your labor, but thank you, I appreciate it. Now I know of a honest, trustworthy transmission repair man in Dallas.

Oh it was mine, well I'm glad there paying for the tow bills(meaning both shops) Most wont even do that(I know I guess you will have to on the end of things I guess) but at least they are up front. I hope they can figure it out.

I Dont understand how what you said they said is happening also sounds strange. i hope you get it fixed.

  3. I hope these are a joke.  I real-l-ly hope people aren't this stupid.

    ONE

Recently, when I went to McDonald's I saw on the menu that you could have an

order of 6, 9 or 12 Chicken McNuggets. I asked for a half dozen nuggets.

"We don't have half dozen nuggets," said the teenager at the counter.  "You

don't?" I replied.  "We only have six, nine, or twelve," was the reply. "So

I can't order a half dozen nuggets, but I can order six?" "That's right."

So I shook my head and ordered six McNuggets.

    TWO

I was checking out at the local Wal-Mart with just a few items and the lady

behind me put her things on the belt close to mine. I picked up one of those

"dividers" that they keep by the cash register and placed it between our

things so they wouldn't get mixed.  After the girl had scanned all of my

items, she picked up the "divider", looking it all over for the

bar code so she could scan it.  Not finding the bar code she said to me, "Do

you know how much this is?"  I said to her "I've changed my mind, I don't

think I'll buy that today."  She said "OK," and I paid her for the things

and left. She had no clue to what had just happened.

    THREE

A lady at work was seen putting a credit card into her floppy drive and

pulling it out very quickly. When I inquired as to what she was doing, she

said she was shopping on the Internet and they kept asking for a credit card

number, so she was using the ATM "thingy."

    FOUR

I recently saw a distraught young lady weeping beside her car.  "Do you need

some help?" I asked.  She replied, "I knew I should have replaced the

battery to this remote door unlocker. Now I can't get into my car. Do you

think they (pointing to a distant convenience store) would have a battery to

fit this?"  "Hmmm, I dunno.  Do you have an alarm, too?" I asked.

"No, just this remote thingy," she answered, handing it and the car keys to

me.  As I took the key and manually unlocked the door, I replied, "Why don't

you drive over there and check about the batteries. It's a long walk."

    FIVE

Several years ago, we had an Intern who was none too swift. One day she was

typing and turned to a secretary and said, "I'm almost out of typing paper.

What do I do?"  "Just use copier machine paper," the secretary told her.

With that, the intern took her last remaining blank piece of paper, put it

on the photocopier and proceeded to make five "blank" copies.

    SIX

I was in a car dealership a while ago, when a large motor home was towed

into the garage. The front of the vehicle was in dire need of repair and the

whole thing generally looked like an extra in "Twister."  I asked the

manager what had happened. He told me that the driver had set the "cruise

control" and then went in the back to make a sandwich.

    SEVEN

My neighbor works in the operations department in the central office of a

large bank. Employees in the field call him when they have problems with

their computers. One night he got a call from a woman in one of the branch

banks who had this question: "I've got smoke coming from the back of my

terminal. Do you guys have a fire downtown?"

    EIGHT

Police in Radnor, Pa., interrogated a suspect by placing a metal colander on

his head and connecting it with wires to a photocopy machine.  The message

"He's lying" was placed in the copier, and police pressed the copy button

each time they thought the suspect wasn't telling the truth.  Believing the

"lie detector" was working, the suspect confessed.

    NINE

A mother calls 911 very worried asking the dispatcher if she needs to take

her kid to the emergency room, the kid was eating ants.  The dispatcher

tells her to give the kid some Benadryl and should be fine.  The mother

says, I just gave him some ant killer.....  Dispatcher: Rush him to

    emergency!

Life is tough. It's tougher if you're stupid.

HAHAHA  those were very very funny. thanks a lot I needed a good laugh or so My friend got a kick out of them also. She said if there real we need to find these people and slap some sense into them.

  4. I was just curious to know how many of you Pcommers have found long lost friends here on Pcom??

I know we've all met people on here who we've bonded with and started special friendships with. But what about those old school buddies? The ones you use to hang out with and have sleepovers with? The ones you shared all your secrets with? Old boyfriends/girlfriends?

But then you "grew up" and graduated and somehow, you lost track of each other?

I joined Pcom in April '04. In June '04, Pointyhead joined and posted that he was trying to locate people who had graduated from PCHS in... Let's just say "a particular year". Don't want to give away ages here LOL.

I responded that my hubby graduated one year before that, but had known several from the year he was searching for. Well, to make a long story short, not only did hubby remember Pointy from school, I discovered I knew him as well and had many memories in common. He is now my "adopted brother" and I love him dearly.

Yesterday, I posted in a thread that Pop began about living in Ga all your life. Another poster (RebelMom) mentioned where her old house was that she grew up in. I had a friend from school who lived in that general area, and thought RebelMom might remember this person. So I sent her a pm asking which house had been hers. While waiting for her to respond, I posted some of my memories of growing up here and also gave the first name of one of my best friends from school.

Apparently, after she had answered my pm telling me which house was hers, RebelMom went back to the thread and read my post. She then sent me another pm telling me SHE was the friend I mentioned!!!!

    Talk about a small world!!!!

So now, she and I have some catching up to do and I'm so looking forward to it.

Thank You Pubby for reuniting me with two wonderful people from my past!!!!!!

So, now I'm wondering if any of you have similar story's to share.

          Armymom

WOW thats a great story there, I am glad you found him and her. Thats great, Small world after all right! Only that I found out a friend of mine mom is on here :p and well Buttercup and me found out we went to school together but didn't really know who each other was but kinda did..

I haven't found anyone else on here.

  5. Thank you all for the recommendations. I called Transman first, and decided to have my Jeep taken there.

When I told him about the transmission fluid getting onto the exhaust system and making a lot of smoke, he warned me not to drive the Jeep because transmission fluid is flammable and could catch on fire. I certainly don't need another Cherokee fire.

He gave me the phone number of a wrecker, and said he'd take care of the towing charges. He understood that I need my work vehicle fixed asap or else I'm out of work, and said he'd try to get it out today. When I called at 6:25 they were still checking it out. I said I thought they would close at 6, and he told me that they do but that they wanted to get my Jeep fixed up for me. I told him it will be all right to leave it until the morning, and they could go home and see their family.

On to the bad news, he said the leak appears to be coming from either the valve covers or the rear main seal. The valve cover wouldn't be a big deal to replace, but the rear main seal could cost $200-300. He was going to add dye to the transmission fluid to determine the source of the leak.

BTW, the transmission shop that did the rebuild last year was one of the shops that was recommended. I don't have anything against that place, but I'm ready to let someone else work on it. A "second opinion", if you will.

I went to reply to this yesterday and My computer froze up. Anyways he sounds like a great man, theres no one I know around that would stay after like that. thats great I am glad your getting it fixed fast.

I hope the one I recommended isn't who you took it to before.

  6. Okay I have a song well some sounds on a CD I want to use for Halloween but need to cut it off before the end and I wondered if anyone knew how I could do this?

    Any help would be great.

I don't have a cd player, I am doing everything on my computer, are trying to at least.

  7. Thank you all so much. Robin is working and trying not to think about it but like a girl she knows said lastnight, its not always good to hold it in either. I just hope they can find it and get it before it gets to bad but now I am really worried. Robin was scared her mom wouldn't wake up from surgery I told her she would and she did, I just hope the same goes as well this time.

    Thanks everyone.

  8. Okay everyone I would like to update you on Robins Mom, she had surgery last week at Emory and they cut off her right thumb to the first knuckle. They took out her lymph notes under her right arm, they ran that Diee stuff in her to see if the cancer spreded any. well besides being in pain from the surgery she has been okay. she felt great the last few days.

Well yesterday she went back to the Dr. and had the results of her lymph notes back and one out of the four has cancer. So Tomorrow she has to go back for pre op and Tuesday again she will be back for surgery, she has to have more or all Not sure of her lymph notes taken out for testing.

Please keep her in your thoughts and prays, Robin along with her 16 yr old sister are very upset.

I really am not sure on the spelling of lymph notes or lymph nodes? They are from how I understand what keeps you from being sick? I am not a Dr. and not sure.

  9. These things scare the day lights outta me. But if my kids wanted to go I would take them.

Chrisinpc if I would you I would inform the people dressing up to not try and scare the little ones to much. Go after the teens who are really looking to get scared.

Oh we are, were going to know if its a little kid coming in it or a teen. for the small kids we will just wave and say happy Halloween and the teens will be jumped out at and try to scare them.

the 4-H thing is great. This is just something I have always wanted to do but couldn't at my house, it is in Douglasville not far at all if anyone wants to bring there kids just PM me for directions or more info. I had the chance so we are trying it I really want a lot of people to come out and walk though it. Its not very big at all I walked today with my video camera on my Camera and it was 32 seconds walking from the road to the trail then about another 20 seconds maybe from the trail start to the end where you come out. Not much in there now still working on stuff just got the walls and all up today,Didn't get pictures of that cause it was about 10:30 tonight when I got finished.

If you come you you MUST be dressed up to get candy... But if you want to go in the trail your more then welcomed to.. If anyone is BORED and wants to dress up and volunteer to help PM me and I might be able to get you a spot in this.

    Thanks everyone.

  10. I have an 11 and 12 yr. old and up to now I have not brought them to anything like this. Someone who lives off of Ridge Rd. has done one in the past but I would not take my girls to it.

I personally don't think children under the age of ten should be going to Haunted Trails but that is up to each parent. Every child is different from what they have been exposed to from their parent.

I can't see why a parent would want to expose their young children to having some scary figure jump out at them and take the chance of having them scared out of their wits and then have nightmares about it. Some parents may find it funny but I don't.

I guess having girls make you look at things differently. Boys usually can handle scary things better.

Chris, you just might want to warn parents ahead of time, what it cionsists of so they can make the call. You don't want to take the chance of ticking off someone.  ;)

I totally understand your logic thats why as I said as you typed this we will let each other know(the ones running it) how old the child looks before they come though the trail.if there young we wont look scary just standing there(i don't think) and well if there old enough we will Try to scare them some but maybe they just laugh at us.... I went in the one at Six Flags when I was about 7 and it scared the Crap out of me I was crying before even half way though it. people with chain saws and grabbing for you and everything else. So I understand what your saying.

I have been to the on on ridge and hes a nice guy. I liked his a lot he kinda gave me the idea but mine is no where near that good.

  11. I would want to know what "scary" stuff was in it first.  If it is monsters/zombies jumping at us then probably not.  My kids are still at the age of "there's a monster".

I think i answered that, same time you was typing looks like LOL. There will also be a fog machine going and some strobe lights, flashing on a couple of the cutumes.... not really scary to most. I want it more fun then anything and we will know before they come into the trail trail if there young or old rather to just wave at them or to try to scare them  . Also the trail per say isn't but 30 feet maybe.. so you can walk in and out pretty fast if you want.

I am timing and doing a live video of it today.

About to leave so I will have to answer any other questions later when I get back.

    Thanks everyone.

  12. woo hoooo 1st to vote  :p  any how i would take my son, hes 3 but i started him out right, i worked in a haunted house when i was prego and after he was born i would take him to the haunted house i worked at. so i belive he would be fine. and i belive you can take any kid in a "haunted" house, trail.... if you make it fun and not too scary, make a game out of it ( kinda like lets scare mommy and see HER jump) know wht i mean?

I didnt even know you had a kid :D Well thats good I guess LOL I know a 3 yr old of my friends who came to my house 2 years ago and was scared to come on my porch cause of the Halloween music that was playing lol  its really not scary I have no horror looking masks just a Micheal Myers and scream guy and a few others like that with some lights and a grave yard. Not scary really. I don't know what Her sister and friends are going to be up to yet who knows with them LOL.

  13. Okay here is the question. I know A LOT of people have plans to go here or there on Halloween or even alot of people take there kids to churches and what not for Halloween and stuff cause it is safer.

But would you take your kids(if old enough(6-13) or maybe a little older) to a house that says it has a haunted trail?

The trail really isn't that scary but to some kids it could be scary as some kids are scared of anything, the reason for the topic is Well In another thread I started about decorating. We made a trail like this year at Rebels house and she wants more people to come so she thinking about putting a flyer up a few places(I'm not saying on here, where) and let people come either Saturday or Sunday before Halloween and walk though the trail. Kinda as a Trail run for us doing it before Halloween and also so that the ones who normally go other places can have something kinda fun to do.

I just wanted to get people on here thoughts on this. If anyone on here would want to bring there kids(she lives in Douglasville 15 minutes from 92 and Sweetwater Church Road) PM me and I will give you some more detailed info on what all it really is.Please everyone Answer the poll.

    Thanks a lot.

  14. I would frecking speck to them!  ;)

Yeah well I just don't see any harm in it and I have been told by a cop that you can park in the road as long as your facing the same way as the traffic is flowing. Otherwise if someone hits your car, you Will be the one to get a ticket. It happened once while I was helping one of my ex gfs aunts move. Her daughter parked on the road in front of the house since the moving truck was in the driveway and well her neighbor backed out from across the street and hit her car. The police came and gave my gfs cousin the ticket, he said if her car would have been facing with traffic then the other person would have gotten a ticket but now she is the one cause she parked the opposite way.

I think its kinda stupid in a way but in a way I can see it I guess. So I always park with the way the traffic is flowing. when I go to Rebels house I have to park in the road and so does her neighbor's no one has ever said anything and I see cars in streets in subdivisions all the time. As long as its not in a curve I see no harm.
