  4. I know, but when you're waiting for a response...I'm just not a good "waiter."

Now, to add some irony  ...I didn't realize how late it had gotten, so hubby and I have to leave for a dinner party at a friend's house...not that I think anyone is waiting with baited  breath for my next post... :p

I am sorry I waited a few minutes myself then left but came back and responded and I had more grass to cut so I just now got back in.

  5. An additional note to those who don't know: driving a car that is not insured can get YOU a ticket (and suspension) even if the car *belongs* to someone else. The *driver* of a vehicle is considered responsible for the legality of that vehicle --- ownership has nothing to do with it. So if you ever borrow a car, make sure that everything is in order before you ever get behind the wheel!

Thats very good info, Thanks for sharing it with us. :D

  6. Chris,

It really depends on the police dept.  Most will not spend their whole shift looking for this 1 person.  The police have calls to go on and reports to write.  If they might happen to see this person while not on a call or  not on their way to a call…they might stop them.  This is pretty much a needle in a haystack.  But their luck is gonna run out sooner or later.

Thanks A lot QTee, your helpful as normal. Tell your Hubby thanks for the info,I don't understand why people drive w/o insurance. I sure don't want to be in a car w/o it. if you get into a wreck or something then its coming out of your pocket.

I hate not having full coverage on my truck but when you cant afford if you cant afford it. But I do have comperhinsive, medical and all that, its just if I tear up my own I have to fix it with my own money.

  7. Chris,

As you may know, my hubby is a cop and has been for 12 years.  He said w/ the law as it stands right now...

If you are pulled over and the police run your drivers license and / or tag and it comes back w/ “No Valid Insurance”. They will impound your car and give you a ticket.  If you flat out tell the police you have “No Insurance” you will get taken to jail.

Thanks for the info,But what if you had someone call the police and say theres a white female driving a such and such right now tag # blh blh with no insurance.. what would the police say?

  8. kITTYcatsKITTY is getting her first car today. omg. kittycat is having a stress attack.

    Give me a drink, hurry. :D  :D  :D

Glad I drive more in Douglasville then Paulding lol, first car ;) I remember my first car... aww the memories I miss that thing. but I don't miss having to work on it just as much as I drove it

  9. Okay I always thought if you got stopped for whatever running a red light speeding, whatever and didn't have insurance they take you to jail and in pound the car. But someone said No So I just wondered what happened if you got stopped and didn't have insurance?

And or if your knew for 100% someone was driving w/o any if you called the police and told them the tag # would the police really do anything or just say theres nothing we can do?

I am asking so I will know. I have car insurance. the questions are I know someone who don't have the money to pay theirs and there father said if they drive that they are going to call the cops on them, wondered if they police would do anything.

    Thanks

  10. Why is it that people don't turn on their cell phones when they leave the house.....CARDIE? :p

I always have my cell phone turned on even if I am home. There for a while I had mine on vibrate and didn't realize it so I was missing calls. Other than that, I never turn my off. Because you are suppose to turn it off daily, I turn my off, then wait a few minutes then turn it back on.

I won't even leave home without my phone. If I forget  it then I will turn around and go get it if I am close enough to home. Otherwise I feel lost.

I know right LOL , when my parents had one they never had it on mom keep hers int he glove box !now what good was that? I could never get ahold of her.

Mine is on 24-7 unless the battery dies and I have to put it on charger. I never heard your supposed to cut one off once a day,I never do.
