I think it was one of those nights when you were running out of reasons not to vote for Will other than he was a Democrat and he used to smoke. But to get back on track here, is there anyone who doesn't want to see the two candidates engage in multiple debates of different formats? This is the first REAL election for this seat we have had. I am enjoying the old time politics and banter from both sides. It seems like we have a couple of candidates that have worked themselves to the top and this should be good for everyone in the county.

Yep. That's Animal. I fought with him for years and just met him last week. When it comes to politics he is an Animal. He is one of the hardest working campaigners I have ever known. So what do you think about a debate between the two? Is it important to you to see how the two of them field questions and elaborate on their actual platforms and not just a bunch of hearsay on p.com?
-
You got a (-7) from them just by mentioning a debate. Now that is funny. Also very telling. It probably seems like a smart move to keep Paulette hidden away until after the election, but are there going to be enough uninformed voters to get her elected?

That marketing company is a corporation. The corporation is governed by very strict laws, as is a candidate's campaign contribution / expenditure disclosure. In other words, just because she owns a company that does mailers doesn't mean that she can transfer that money (whether it be cash or "in like" value) from one pocket to the other without reporting it on both her corporate taxes and her campaign disclosure. duh! The only thing getting busted around here seems to be Paulette. No more business as usual.

Accountant? This is third grade math. And this is the kind of representation people are willing to argue about? WTH?

I KNOW What I am. I have been a Republican all my adult life. Your statements about Will Avery are not only ignorant, they are really starting to get monotonous. I have spent time with Will and there is nothing liberal about him. He is much more conservative than most of the Republicans that have held state and local offices in the last few years. Unfortunately there are quite a few hard heads that don't posses the ability to get to know a candidate and just vote based on what they have heard or what they have been told. Because of this, Will might not make it this time and that would

Obviously I don't care much for Glenn when he is well. I do wish him and his family the best and I refuse to take shots at someone when they are down. If I could send him a get well card it would say: Get well so I can give you hell.

My first job when I was 9 or 10 was counting worms at Andy Beam's bait shop. 25 cents an evening. My first job with a check was lifeguard at a summer camp in Cordele, GA and in the winter I worked at W.T. Grant store in Mableton.

Letter to Paulding teachers and residents from Will Avery
feelip replied to willavery's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I'm not slamming anyone. I am stating facts. I don't think Paulette can field the questions that the people on p.com throw at her. Jerry did, although he was lying through his teeth. Will Avery has been on here and has answered all the questions. Madea, I have no reason to slam Paulette. All I want to see is a debate between Will and Paulette with a third party mediator. There is nothing that I could possibly say that would be as revealing as a debate between the two candidates. -

Worked for Shearin in 2004. But he didn't have anything to hide that year. He, like Paulette, didn't want any part of p.com once he had been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. -
Talk about splitting hairs and grasping for straws. Okay Madea, the majority of the voters in Paulding voted for Handel? How about "Handel got more votes in Paulding than did Deal." Either way it trashes the notion of most Paulding voters voting against a female just because she is a female. I'm not voting against Paulette. I'm voting for Will Avery because I honestly beleive he is the best candidate to represent me. Let's at least keep it real and honest.

Enough said.

Have we regessed to Reagan Republican one liners that don't relate? Come on NJ. You're no daisy.
-
Are you kidding? You would vote for a woman over a better qualified candidate that happened to have different plumbing? That's the kind of thought process that puts people like Hank "it'd going to capsize" Johnson in office. I voted for Handel as did most of Paulding, so that kind of dispels your theory. I have no problem with voting for a woman, but I'm not voting for a ditz.
-
No need for us to be grasping for straws. There is a need to make sure everyone plays by the same rules. If Paulette isn't organized enough to file her campaign disclosures on time, she has no business handling my interests. Are you okay with paying someone to do a half-assed job? I'm not. At what point did she realize that she might need an accountant to figure out the addition and subtraction. I mean good grief Madea, it's not calculus.

The question is which investigative reporter wants this story. Dale Russell? He seems to enjoy blistering Glenn Richardson's sorry ass, maybe Paulette will be fair game as well. I'm thinking she could be disqualified for trying to skirt the rules.

This is this the old "it is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt" theory? -
Madea, I just ask that you give them both a fair comparason. Who you vote for is your business.
-
Paulette has some disclosing to do as well. Let's try to keep this factual. We have no need to sling mud. We are clean as a whistle and are trying our best to get some sincere representation for the 19th. My advice would be to not give the Avery campaign an opportunity to start pointing out life mistakes. Give me a couple of more opportunities and I'll start asking the tough questions.
-
Anything he gets he has earned. I have no pity for the guy. He screwed over every citizen in the county that wasn't part of his clique. I could care less if he never lives this down. He is in the same boat as Glenn Richardson and Nathan Deal. Dirty little snakes in the grass.
-
That's the only dirt you will find on Will. Wonder if his competition has any skeletons?
-
Since we can't all have a one on one with both candidates, lets insist that the two candidates have a few debates between now and November. I think the best candidate will rise to the surface rather quickly. You talk to yours and I'll talk to mine.

Do you know the person that you are wanting to represent you and your grandchildren? I DO!
