  1. Does anyone know where we can take (many) paint cans, some new, some not, to recycle? I believe the dump has a place, but you have to pay to take them there and we have over 20 cans, so I'm looking for a free place.

    Thanks!

  2. A free kitten is never free and actually far from it.

A free kitten is typically going to come with fleas, worms (kittens are born with them) and need several dewormings to become parasite free, no vaccinations and a kitten needs 3-4 series of shots to be and an average vet visit costs $75 +/- each plus the spay/neuter, which averages $100. On top of that it could be Feline Leukemia or Feline AIDS positive, which you'd only find out after you've taken it home to your family and other animals.

All kittens available for adoption through Jennifer's Pet Rescue are FELV/FIV negative, dewormed, flea treated, already spayed or neutered and have started their vaccinations, sometimes only needing one last vet visit for their last 2 shots (Distemper and Rabies). Our adoption fees range from $100 - $150.

So please think about the cost involved before getting a free kitten or puppy!
