I, on the other hand, do not think that caution in this repsct is fear mongering at all. Real fear mongering is demonstrated by Obama and the climate change screaming left claiming the world will end unless we spend trillions trying to rein in nature. Pubby does specialize in insults and never misses an opportunity to slam anyone with whom he disagrees. No wonder so many have abandoned pcom as it sinks into oblivion.

I agree. He said that he is a Muslim. I am with you. Because of the risk of Muslim terrorists infiltrating our country and because there is no through vetting process, I want our borders closed to all Muslim immigrants. We cannot afford to risk another attack anywhere in this country.

Cool, I figure that the only document tying Mr. Cruz's citizenship to Canada is the same as mine. He has a birth certificate from the province of Alberta. Mine is from the province of Ontario.

I realize that which is why I said that his renouncing Canadian citizenship was really only a declaration of his loyalty to the US. Mr. Cruz would be a shining light compared to the current occupant of our White House.

I don't think so. When you are sworn in as a US citizen, you revoke all other citizenships. Canada does recognize those who emigrate as dual citizens (I doubt that can be changed) but the US recognizes only one citizenship, US: http://www.uscis.gov/us-citizenship/naturalization-test/naturalization-oath-allegiance-united-states-america So Mr. Cruz and I are both US citizens. He was born in Canada of a US parent (mother) so he has dual citizenship. I do not think that his revoking Canadian citizenship does anything formal. He is simply declaring his loyalty to the USA.
