  1. Thanks. Did you decide on a cruise for this spring? If you come for coffee, I'll buy. I would enjoy meeting you.
  2. I just accepted a package from my employer which I requested and which gives me some extra cash to cushion the retirement I had been planning for some time. I won't apply for unemployment and I hope that anyone who is on it finds a job so that life can return to "normal" or whatever "normal" is for you, again.
  3. Gog8tors is interested in a coffee meeting in April so let's all attend. I won't have to rush back to work for this one!!
  4. Thanks, it took patience, sacrifice and hard work. I'm ready!!
  5. I understand. I have been working since 1966 so I am very ready. I can feel a huge anvil being removed from my shoulders.
  6. Well, I could have applied for unemployment, as someone suggested. But, I won't because it is wrong when I am retiring.
  7. I never ask a lady her age. I am 63. I would love to meet you.
  8. Again, thank you. All the paperwork is driving me crazy but I'll get over it. Re coffee - YES!! Let's do it in April.
  9. Just "borrow"; not "keep". Child looks fine to me.
  10. I have been extremely busy this month and will continue to be busy until I retire at the end of March. I have been planning and saving for a very long time and I welcome the change. I won't be very active on the forum this month, but, in April, "I'll be back!"
  11. I saw the topic heading and thought, "Now there's an oxymoron!"
  12. If it was a mechanical linkage on the Toy, all you'd have to do is check the return spring and lube all moving parts. And, if you're me, you'd need to pull the floor mat down to the base of the accelerator pedal. No floor mat fasteners in the "good old" days. But, like you, I'm stuck in my 67 and 69 Mopar muscle cars! I'll to that! Gimmee some 427 and some real 426 hemi any day. Cars today? You barely have to know how to drive!!
  13. Again, the part has not been labelled "defective". It was designed by Toyota and manufactured according to Toyota specs. It's a Toyota defect.
  14. The real point is that all parts were designed by Toyota. Whoever manufactured the parts was building them based on the design specs provided by Toyota. Toyota is 100% responsible for the parts and any problems they caused.
  15. That's OK. I don't like Asian cars at all, period.
  16. I think if it was a single part (regardless of where it was made) that the problem(s) would have been resolved by now. Without knowing exactly what caused the problem(s), we cannot possibly isolate it to a single part. Toyota is obviously struggling with the problem and it is not an easy part swap kind of fix.
  17. I love my Fords and my Dodge and my Plymouth. No interest in Toyotas in our household.
  18. I heard it was computer programming.
  19. Gawrsh. I am glad to be back. Need to catch up on my sleep after all the sight seeing and fun we had.
  20. Amy and I just returned from a 10 day cruise to Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica and Grand Cayman. Weather was not always nice but what a wonderful cruise. We're ready for another and I sure wish I could retire!!
