Thank you. I am glad she is too. It was just a more remote area where other people were not as visible. It is a back road that the kids cross to go to student parking. She had stayed in library after class and walked to her car. It is a very small campus. It was not like there was a group of kids around her.My daughter has a very kind heart and would help anyone in need but that is not the safe place to.I am just so thankful she is safe too.

He did lean over and open passenger door and I have always taught my kids the same,police advise us to teach our kids this.Thank you.My daughter did what she was taught to do and I am thankful. I do not know what this mans intentions were,none of us do,unless we are him,but I would rather my daughter to be safe,than risk offending him.

Older was my daughters description,but in 50`s or 60`s. I think most people are picturing little, old. helpless man,no! He did have grey hair.

Thank you sooo much for your concern and kindness! I will get her that. She had a pepper sray that had expired a while back and I should have looked into this. You know my daughter is very friendly to older people but God gives us a feeling when something is not right for our on well being and I want her to always go by that for her on good.Today people are more worried about the perverts sometimes!

My daughter has a cell phone and what was so bothersome to me is that she said at first she thought the man really needed help and was not alarmed but kept walking away because she did not know him and then he became more persistent. We can not warn the dangers enough these days. I think people hear warnings,we have warned and went through all of this but they still do not realize the danger until it`s too late sometimes.I just thank God she got to her car and it was not far at all from her car. I am still bothered by this because there are so many sick people out their preying on the innocent

My daughter attends the Georgia Highlands campus in downtown Dallas. Today between 1:30 and 2:00 an older man tried to get her to get in his car. He kept saying,"Excuse me mam",then opened his car door. She got to her car and left quickly. This was right at student parking,behind the campus. He was in a dark grey or black older buick style car.He had grey hair and wore glasses. I did report this to the campus security and they were very helpful and concerned. I did also report it to the Dallas Police. Please warn your chilren and young adults to not get in the car with anyone that approaches t

I totally agree. Everyone makes mistakes but they look a lot harder at some peoples mistakes,than others. I have heard Joy and Barbara Walters say a lot worse than that and it never is even commented about,never the less in headlines.
