For guys who don't know their sizes, generally speaking these suits will fit guys who are not extremely tall or extremely short and between 180 lbs. and 240 lbs.

We have used Black Suit Jackets in the following sizes: 40L, 44R, 46R, 46L, 52L There are separate black pants that go with them, not necessarily the identical fabric. They come with a solid black long tie included. A used off-white/microfiber ivory shirt is available for sale for $5.00 with the purchase of any jacket and pants! King Tux Rentals is EASY to find -- once you've been here. The problem is that whoever put in the GPS coordinates for 2015 Barrett Lakes Blvd must have had a "liquid lunch" that day. Navigational devices often plot King Tux Rentals on the NORTH side of Barrett Parkway. We are a few hundred yards SOUTH of Barrett Parkway, on Barrett Lakes Blvd.

Be cautious of something that the chain stores are doing - Offering $40 coupons as an enticement to get prom students to come to their stores, without telling them what the $40 is off of!
In other words, would you rather have no coupon and the rental price is $120 - or get $40 off and the rental price (without the coupon) is $180?

If the young man is going with a group of friends or if he doesn't want to coordinate his vest and tie colors with those of his date, he just needs to come in to King Tux Rentals for measurements and to pick out what he wants to wear.
If the young man IS wanting to color-coordinate, then the two of them can bring in the dress, or a swatch of the color (available at many dress shops) so that we can get a good idea of the color to be matched. If all that you have is a camera phone picture, you CAN use that picture to decide which color/pattern is best. The actual fabric produces a better result. If you don't know the coordinating color yet, then that's fine. We can work that detail out later, just at least two weeks before the prom, please.
Beware of fake discounts and tuxedo rental places that will not tell you the exact cost of your rental. At King Tux Rentals we do "All-Inclusive" pricing. Parents need to know what they're going to be spending. When you ask us how much our tux rentals are, the answer is simple - $119.99 for a black tux with everything or $149.99 for an "other than black" tux with everything. The only things that a person will need for the occasion are socks and undies. We sell socks for $3.99 (less than department stores) because not every young gentleman owns dress socks.

Once the student has been measured, picked out what he wants to wear, and has paid for his rental, nothing else remains until the week of prom. He will have a designated day to try on his outfit to make sure that the fit is just right. The tuxedo rental is due back the day after prom. There is a late return fee of $20 for every day that the tux is late getting back to us. Because proms happen every week, we have to get the tuxes back on a timely basis so that we can send them to the cleaners and have them ready to go the following week.

First of all you all need to know about the latest enticement that the chain stores are using. It is the $40 coupon, which they give to everyone. Sounds good, right? Problem is, they don't tell you what you're getting $40 off of - What the price would be WITHOUT the coupon! What has happened is that the companies inflate their tuxedo rentals to around $200, then discount the tux rentals by giving a $40 coupon, making the final price around $160 + tax. The very low prices that they tell you when you call? Those are outdated styles and do not qualify for the $40 coupon.
When you call to inquire about prices, ask how much the final price would be, all things considered. If they won't give you a straight answer, is this a place that you want to do business with? What they are doing is legal, although it preys on the people who have a need and who aren't experienced in renting formal attire - A prom student is a perfect example!
How do you save money on tuxedo rentals for prom? First, call and find out how much a rental will cost, with everything included. At King Tux Rentals, we have two prices. One is for our "best anywhere" Super 150s black tuxedos with your choice of vest and tie colors and shoes plus a tux shirt, cufflinks and a pocket square. That price is $119.99 + tax (Same as last year and the year before last!) The only other tux rental price is for those tuxedos that are "other than black" or a special-order tux. Again, with all of the accessories the price is $149.99 for one of these special order tuxes.
Rent from a place that has fabric samples (at least) not pictures of colors. When your son goes in, if you'd like for him and his date to go together, they should bring the dress in, if they want to coordinate colors. Keep in mind that if your son goes in alone to one of the chain stores, the personnel are trained to upsell him, which is why you need to know, before he goes in, what it's going to cost. At King Tux Rentals, there's no upselling. The prom-goer can purchase a pair of socks here, if he can't raid his dad's sock drawer, but we do not take advantage of your trust by taking advantage of our customers' lack of experience in renting formal wear.
