  1. The reality is that House members, generally, do not get involved in drawing Senate districts. So, I wouldn't be so hard on her just yet.
  2. My taxes are much lower than what is in my escrow account with my mortgage company. Will they refund that money or roll it over to next year's taxes?
  3. This is one thing in this thread that is true. I do know that the "establishment" is not supporting Paulette - they wanted Steve Golden.
  4. ....and Roy Barnes diverted money from 400 tolls to pay for land acquisition for Atlantic Station. This isnt just a Republican problem.
  5. 'I have met Will and I don't see everyone's fascination with him. He didn't impress me at all. I would like to see the bills authored by Dems that passed last year. Give me a number. It isn't much and nothing of any substance. Ralston is more bipartisan than Glenn but not by much. Yes, Paulette will be welcomed because all the House Republicans will be happy it isn't Daniel Stout who they all kept at arms reach because of his relationship with Bobby Franklin and voting no against just about everything. I will state again and I don't care about his "visions" for Paulding Count
  6. You will forfeit representation if you elect a Dem to a Republican controlled House. He won't have a voice in anything in his own caucus much less with the greater House. Don't kid yourself here. If he is elected, don't expect anything to happen in Paulding unless it is from Howard Maxwell.
  7. Well, I don't know why Paulette has not committed to debate but she is out working in the district. She has been through my neighborhood a couple of times. I would much rather have someone visit me than listen to pre-meditated dribble that usually comes out of a debate. Look me in the face and tell me. I don't need a debate to decide who I will vote for.
  8. Hope Church is having their sale this weekend also.
  9. I have womens and children's clothes that I would like to donate. Does anyone have suggestions of a local that really needs clothes?
  10. Was there anything that wasn't correct in the mailpiece though? I don't see if as "attack campaigning" at all.
  11. Actually, the grace period extends to July 8. Fines begin after midnight on the 8th.
  12. Truth be told, I don't believe anything from anyone that I receive in a mailer. I know enough about the legislature to know that Stout (as a freshman) does not have the ability or clout to pass anything and to say that he did is just downright silly and offensive.
  13. State representatives and senators do not have franking priviledges - only senators and representatives serving in the US Congress. This is a pet peeve of mine. Plus, I will restate my problem with the mailer - he touts passing bills that were vetoed.
  14. My best guess is Cagle's money is for a campaign website.
  15. What I find more funny about the mailer is that he touts passing the Zero Based Budgeting bill that the Governor actually vetoed.
  16. I have no idea. I threw it away when I received. The only way to know is to ask his campaign or wait until the next disclosure period to see if a payment to Stoneridge shows. I do know they are not cheap, you are looking at around $20,000 for a mass mailing.
  17. Madea: he can use his legislative expense account as long as it is for legislative purposes and not for his re-election campaign. I received one but I am a republican voter. This is not true. State legislators can employ a third party to produce and mail legislative "newsletters." They can receive reimbursement through their expense accounts.
  18. My family went Saturday night. I was impressed with the food - very, very good. I had the meatloaf and it was simply outstanding. The prices are a little higher than a national chain but I am willing to pay more especially for a local restuarant. We will go back.
  19. I don't care if it is in his "teenage past". It is a huge deal for me so I will not drop it. Not only did he betray his pregnant wife, it was with his wives' mother. You can't get anymore demented than that, in my opinion.
  20. I did vote for the bond in 2007 and yes, I do approve of it now.
  21. Well, Golden and Braddock did not force me to vote on the school bond. The majority of the citizens would agree or it would not have passed.
  22. Golden works here and attends church here. In my opinion, he has a bigger stake in the 19th district than Stout.
  23. Well, what you think is absurb, tacky and childish is different from what others might think is absurb, tacky and childish.
  24. If they are placed within legal limits, why does it bother you soo much? Do you nitpick this much with everything or just the people you want to slander?
  25. I actually meet her this past weekend. I think she is a fine candidate and lady but did not impress me. Sorry.
