It may be as simple as being froze up. Turn it off, wait a few hours (maybe go somewhere with AC) then turn it back on. If it cools down again then it was froze up....you need to have the coil cleaned. Simple maintenance that most people don't do or have done.

 

 

There is a massive chunk of ice on the unit in the garage - and on the unit outside......oh joy! Need to let it thaw i guess....
