  1. Actually, the child died last night, they just didn't tell anyone until, today. They are saying the Mother accidentally shot the child but, they also said the Mother was fixing the child's hair, when a gun fell and went off. I just don't understand, WHY they are saying two different things. Who had possession of the gun when it was dropped? Where was the gun, to begin with?

    People need to teach their children to stay away from guns, NOT to touch guns and they NEED to keep their guns put away, IF parents aren't going to teach their children about gun safety. Children do NOT need to know where Mom & Dad keep their weapons and ammunition. This child did NOT have to die!! Rest In Peace, Sweetheart Rest In Peace!!! Prayers and Condolences for ALL involved!!

  2. The place on Ridge Rd, which is a burned old single wide trailer. It burned at least 4-5 weeks ago or more. It seems like, anyway. But, there was a little 5th wheel trailer (I think it was a 5th wheel???)out back, to the right, where the man in his Mid 50's was staying, I guess. I've seen him cutting grass, recently. But, that man has been there for years!!! I'd see him 2 to 3 times a week walking to the store. But, yesterday I saw about 7 cars there. Didn't see anything really going on except for the men talking, looking at their clipboards, legal pads and/or writing tablets. No hearse, no coroner or ambulance, no fire rescue or anything.

  3. :::CALLING ALL BIKERS::::

    Eli Butler; the 15 yr old boy who attended Temple Middle School, and passed away from a four wheeler accident, will be laid to rest tomorrow. 6-14-15
    One of his family members has asked for the biker community to please [come together] and attend this funeral service, because Eli loved loud trucks and bikes.

    If you would like to attend and help make this families wish come true for that sweet boy then we will all be lining up at J Collins Funeral home at 1:00. The address is:

    206 South Carroll Road. Villa Rica, Ga. 30180

    Hope to see y'all there, God Bless.

    Christopher "Eli" Butler, 15, student of Temple Middle School and member of Happy Valley Baptist Church passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 after an unavoidable accident on an ATV on June 7.

    Eli made the mature decision to become an organ donor after his dad was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer. As young as he was because of his selfless decision he was able to give the gift of his heart valves, skin and muscle tissue to burn victims, his beautiful eyes and, best of all, bone for bone cancer patients. With just these gifts he will touch the lives of many and live on through them.

    Eli is the son of the late Chris "Chunky" Butler and Christy Butler. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Herman "Fuzzy" Butler.

    Survivors include his brother Joseph Butler and honorary brother Garrett Furr both of Villa Rica; Grandparents Eula Butler of Carrollton, Lamar and Diane McGatha of Villa Rica; Aunts and Uncles Emily and Jason Tant of Temple, Denise and Matt Butler, Tracy and Cayce Butler all of Carrollton; Cousins Tyler and Cameron Tant, Breanna and Bryson Butler, Bridget, Mad Max and Stuart Thompson, Shantay Butler, Ashley and Chase Norton.

    The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening, June 13, 2015 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Eli’s family asks each person attending the visitation and funeral service to wear the red and black Georgia Bulldog colors or the Temple Middle School black and gold in honor of Eli’s favorite teams.

    Funeral Services will be conducted, June 14, 2015, 2 p.m. at Happy Valley Baptist Church in Villa Rica, Georgia with the Reverends Eddie Wyatt and William Collins officiating.

    Interment will follow at Melrose Hills Memorial Cemetery. Temple Middle School students will serve as pallbearers.

  4. There might be some decent deals the week-end before and the days up to Presidents Day. The scratch & dent store in Hiram is a good choice, too. My daughter bought a gas stove from that store and was pleased with the store owner (or worker), prices and the transaction itself. We will be checking it out when our stove/oven gives out!!!
