Yes, we loved it. Make sure you get there as soon as they open the gates. They drive thru and feed the animals in the morning, so you will see more animals up close if you go while they are being fed. Also, the animals are used to eating food from the cars and buses, so they will come up to you. Have fun!!

The fact that the owner has blocked the entrance should have been a clue. I would have thought you would be much better off contacting the owner and asking permission to explore his cave, rather than "sqeezing through" the gate and then getting upset when the police showed up. I'm sure if your intentions were honorable, that would have been a much better approach. The owner obviously put the gate up for a purpose. Sounds like you've probably burned a bridge with the owner of this property.

I use pudding mix in mine to thicken it up. I use one package of pudding mix, one can of condensed milk, and then fill it up with milk. Of course you can do lots of combinations for flavors. Add a couple of bananas and use vanilla or cream cheese flavored pudding. Add peaches using vanilla pudding. We tried chocolate pudding mix last week and it tastes a lot like...pudding. As long as you don't mind it tasting like pudding, it is a really easy recipe and the ice cream turns out thick and creamy.

Why do you think the gate was put up to begin with? Do you think it could have had anything to do with the "decades of abuse" this cave has suffered from other trespassers?? You've got to be kidding me.

One time I almost walked right up on a snapping turtle while she was laying her eggs in my garden. She HISSSSSED at me! I thought she was going to take my toe off. Scared the bejeebies out of me!
