The house for sale shown on Trulia is not the main house. The older main house is on the other side of the lake and is a large English Tudor house with a large log cabin right next to it directly on the lake. I have been in both of the original homes as part of some contracting work done in the late 90's before the newer home was built. I think the newer home was divided off of the original property. In fact, upon looking closer,the newer home for sale is not on the original lake. The older lake that the Dodd home is located on is down farther where the public road ends and you have to go

The new Waffle House will be started next week to the right of the existing one. After it is complete, the old Waffle House will be torn down for the construction of the new Walgreens to begin on the corner. Chick-fil-A will be behind the current Waffle House accessible right off 278 where they have cut in the new access on 278. It will also be started only after the new Waffle House is built and the old one moved.

Rome has a great fireworks show every year. They are having it tonight. It is at Ridge Ferry Park with concerts and activities. However, to avoid the traffic, we park in downtown Rome and walk along the paved trail next to the river in the direction of Ridge Ferry Park. You can see them well and miss all of the traffic when you leave.
