Will the real BILL HEATH please stand up?
doraville replied to Mason Rountree's topic in Paulding County NEWS
After sleeping on it, I was not that happy with a post that I made yesterday. It was inconsistent with my own logic about Pcom as an open forum. Certainly pigpen has the right to raise any objection that he thinks is legitimate. Myself and others have the right to point out what we consider to be flaws in his logic, but I did not have the right to suggest that he shut-up (which I did in so many words). I went back and deleted the last couple of sentences that I think crossed the line. I also offer my apology to pigpen on that point here publicly. One other point. It only took me about -

Back to the issue of who is and isn't an engineer, I don't think that you meant to cite Official Code of Georgia 45-15-30(11). Title 45 Chapter 15 deals with the Attorney General. Title 43 Chapter 15 items 10 and 11 contains the definition of a Professional Engineer: (emphasis added by me) 10) "Professional engineer" means an individual who is qualified, by reason of knowledge of mathematics, the physical sciences, and the principles by which mechanical properties of matter are made useful to man in structures and machines, acquired by professional education and practical expe -

Sorry deerslayer, but taking someone's IP address (information that only an admin has access to) and going to see if it can be tied to a specific company is snooping. No harm done in this case, but what I would like to impress on Pubby is that it is important that he maintains the trust of his users. I may disagree with Pubby on politics 99% of the time, but up to this point I have not doubted whether or not he could be trusted on the anonymity issue. -

I don't believe that I know any of you folks outside of here. Some of you have chosen to identify yourselves, and while it is your right to do so personally I wish you didn't. Recently I had a conversation with a person who said that they refused to come to Pcom because "it's just a place where people go to talk trash anonymously". I actually defended Pcom with that person for a couple of reasons: It's a level playing field. Everyone has equal opportunity to speak their peace here. Rich or poor, doctor, lawyer, or construction worker. Granted, everyone may not have equal communica -

Sorry friend... you have me confused with someone else. I have not decided yet who I will vote for. The more lame attacks directed at Heath that I read (and taking into account their source) the more I am leaning toward Heath. I do intend to give Rogers sincere consideration however. I will not vote for Bill Carruth. -

Everyone who has worked in or around the technical field knows that what you are asserting is silly. We all realize that you have a beef with Heath, but you're going to have to dig up something better than this. -

If you want to put a "PE" (short for Professional Engineer) on your business card, and if you do work that requires you to stamp your work with a PE stamp, then you must become a licensed engineer. Most positions in Civil Engineering and Architectural Engineering require a PE stamp. Many Mechanical Engineering positions require a PE stamp. Not many Electrical Engineering positions, and almost no Electronics or Computer Engineering positions require a PE stamp, therefore only a small percentage of Electrical Engineering graduates pursue getting licensed as a PE. I agree with Solo that t -
Carruth - has he been declared qualified to run?

Coming at 6 o'clock on Channel 7 WXYZ News: Paulding County Commissioners at odds over boondoggle. Channel 7 has learned that some Paulding County residents are unhappy with the way their tax money is being spent, so we sent our investigative team out to get to the bottom of it. We spoke first with County Administrator Mike Jones. Channel 7: Mr. Jones is it true that the County Commissioners office sent Bill Carruth on a boondoggle to Washington on the taxpayers tab? Mr. Jones: Well, I wouldn't call it a "boondoggle", exactly. We more or less sent him up there to hob-knob with a -
We switched from Ma Bell to Ooma for our home phone line about 9 months ago. It isn't quite as reliable as a Plain Old Telephone line, but it's reliable enough, it's much less expensive and has many more features. Overall, we're happy with it.

Senate 31 candidate Carruth residency challenged
doraville replied to GreenEyedGirl's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I guess this is the point where everyone pounces on the person who openly admits he is a Christian. Go ahead; we're used to it. The thing that baffles me is why Carruth didn't run for senate in the district that he DOES live in. Wouldn't that have been easier than committing fraud and opening himself up to a potential felony charge? Time and time again, we see these guys lie when the truth would have worked just as well. -

I don't know enough about Rogers yet to say whether or not I will vote for him, but I will decide before the election. I am a Christian, and moral and ethical issues are important to me. Carruth's campaign claim to "Protect Christian family values" is laughable. -

I did a little search on Google maps. The first image below is a view of Carruth's 178-acre estate in South Paulding. I'm not sure where he is claiming his residency for the race, but The White Pages comes up with an address on Willow Pointe Dr. in Dallas, which is the second image below. The word "credulity" has been thrown around several times in this thread, so I think I'll join in. Carruth's claim to live in the second location and not the first lacks "credulity". As someone said earlier, he's probably slick enough that he knows where the loopholes are in the event that his residency i -

That's exactly it. We're all just pawns in their little power and money game, and we're too stupid to see it. -

Beginning with this election cycle, all campaign contribution reports are available here. I would suggest that everyone read these for ALL the candidates that are running for office. Keep in mind that to get around the $2500 limit they will often make contributions in the names of their relatives, employees, etc. The more you know about the county and who the power-brokers are, the more you will be able to see. -

When an argument isn't going your way: Argumentum ad hominem If that doesn't work, try to change the subject.
