    I walk my dog on a leash. Most of the time if another dog is running loose it will immediately come running up to my dog and either tails start wagging or growling will commence. I carry a billy club when I walk my dog. If growling commences and the "loose" dog doesn't back off, that dog gets wacked. Really, really hard.

    Remember at the beginning of the show Jacob was on the island with a different man? The man said he wanted to kill Jacob. He also said one day he would find a loophole and come back to kill Jacob. Jacob said he would be there waiting for him.

     

    Before the other Locke stabbed Jacob, Jacob said, "I see you found your loophole." Does this mean Locke's spirit is dead but this guy found a loophole to be in Lock's body? There have been many times the characters have been able to witness themselves at different stages of their lives. Just like the scientists son was able so see himself as an infant. With that reasoning, it makes sense Locke's bodies could be both alive and dead at the same time.

     

    The fact that Jacob visited everyone kind of leads me to think they were all pre-destined to be there. I just saw a lot of religious parallels. Remember the reference to Moses toward the end? Jacob only reveals himself to people he deems are worthy believers. The leaders still answer to Jacob. Rose and her husband were able to live life on the island gracefully because they had made peace with their situation. They did not fear death when threatened with the bomb.

     

    On one hand I thought Jacob was trying to help them all to be better people. He told Kate not to steal. He kindly retrieved the stuck candy bar for Doc. He had encouraging wedding wishes for Jyn. He was kind to Hot Stuff (Sawyer) at his parents funeral. BUT THEN he distracted Sayid while his wife was hit by a car. Sooooooo just when I think I'm finally starting to figure it out, I am LOST again.

     

    Maybe Jacob distracted Sayid because he was meant to get hit by the car, too.
