  1. while i agree that the woman should be prosecuted for breaking the law, i must also believe that even if someone put alcohol in front of you, they didn't force you to drink it, nor did they force you to climb behind the wheel of a car after drinking it.

yes. the woman should pay a fine and serve time. for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. why make a law if your not going to punish someone for breaking it?

but is she responsible for the child's death? not in my opinion.

if i give you a pencil, i don't get credit for the novel you write.

Well, there's your answer right there. He was a child. She gave something potentially dangerous to a child. Never mind that it's against the law to furnish minors with alcohol she put a dangerous and illegal thing in a childs hands and that child died. If you give a 5 year old a lighter and then the 5 year old starts a fire with the lighter and stuff burns and people die, then who's responsible? Well, you are. I think a lot of people make the mistake of thinking that just because a person looks like a big grownup person that that means they have the same brain function and level of responsibility of a real grownup person and that's just not correct. 16 is a child. If that sorry excuse for a woman had done that to my child the law would be the very last thing she should be worried about.

  2. JUST A BIKER

I saw you hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line... but you didn't see me put an extra $10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday.

I saw you pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk... but you didn't see me playing Santa at the local Mall.

I saw you change your mind about going into the restaurant when you saw my bike parked out front... but you didn't see me attending a meeting to raise more money for the hurricane relief.

I saw you roll up your window and shake your head when I rode by... but you didn't see me riding behind you when you flicked your cigarette butt out the car window.

I saw you frown at me when I smiled at your children... but you didn't see me, when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless.

I saw you stare at my long hair... but you didn't see me and my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love.

I saw you roll your eyes at our Leather jackets and gloves... but you didn't see me and my brothers donate our old ones to those that had none.

I saw you look in fright at my tattoos... but you didn't see me cry as my children where born or have their name written over and in my heart.

I saw you change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere... but you didn't see me going home to be with my family.

I saw you, complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be... but you didn't see me when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane.

I saw you yelling at your kids in the car... but you didn't see me pat my child's hands knowing she was safe behind me.

I saw you reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road... but you didn't see me squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn.

I saw you race down the road in the rain... but you didn't see me get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date.

I saw you run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time... but you didn't see me trying to turn right.

I saw you cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in... but you didn't see me leave the road.

I saw you, waiting impatiently for my friends to pass... but you didn't see me. I wasn't there.

I saw you go home to your family... but you didn't see me - Because I died that day you cut me off.

I was just a biker. A person with friends and a family... BUT YOU DIDN'T SEE ME.

Repost this around in hopes that people will understand the biker community.

If you don't repost this, it sucks to be you. I hope you never lose someone that rides.

EVEN IF YOU DON'T LIKE US, RESPECT OUR RIGHTS TO RIDE WHAT WE CHOOSE AND TAKE A FEW EXTRA SECONDS TO BE SURE WE ARE NOT IN 'YOUR' WAY

Just something to think about. When I think of bikers I think of VVMC (Veitnam Veterans Motercyle Club)

I never understood putting a kid on a bike.

  3. Geez, Walt's probably in college by now. I just hope they don't pull that crap where they bring in a new actor to play his part until he gets ready to come back thing. Except for the fact that you can tell how much time has gone by (in real life) by how much he's grown but then that would fit right in with the time travel thing and the fact that time hasn't stopped for the ones that got off the island but it has for the ones still there. And......BREATHE!

  4. OK, I love Aretha. I love her. I sing along at the top of my lungs. To everything. I love you Aretha. But the hat. The hat. I think it's one of those things that happens when you finally get to the age where you can do whatever you want and people just say well........

  5. ----------------------------

TBAR, I have read your previous posts about using the X for Christ and if that works for you then great. But please, when you use the term anti-X isn't contradicting your points on the matter? If not, just out of reverance, please don't use the two together. It would be like me typing it out to say anti-Christ. I hate just seeing it even capitalized. Just a thought.

Your name is irritating. You should change it. You should look to yourself and come up with your own identity instead of copying others. I think you've been in this game long enough to be your own person, don't you?

  6. June 10, 2000, 2:05am. That's when I quit. I used the patch (walmart brand) for a week then went to the beach where it doesn't stick. but I quit. you have to REALLY want to quit. that's the magic. I just quit. you can't wear a patch on the beach because it doesn't stick. the nicotine is out of your body by about 10 days but the HABIT is the hard part. Quitting was actually pretty easy for me. I was still hanging out in bars and it didn't bother me at all, but I could suddenly smell it and it really smells bad. You don't realize how horrible everything smells until you quit. my kids smelled like crap when they went to school and I never knew. My daughter's teacher asked her if she smoked when she was in the 6th grade. Because of me. But you really have to want to quit. I did gain a lot of weight, though. I'm working on that. fat's better than smoking.

  7. and to be perfectly honest, if you (if you're being bullied) or your kid is ballsy enough, just pop the bully in the nose hard and fast. puts em' on their knees covered in blood very painful and messy but not life threatening and poof! you're off the hook for the whole bullying thing because they'll think twice about messing with a crazy! somebody might be suspended and have a finger shaken in their face but do you you think anybody will pick on said kid again without a little twinge in their brain saying "hmmm maybe not?" ? I think not. Not that I know anything about violence. or nose breaking. or anything.

  8. I had the same problem a year or so ago on my then 16 yr olds phone. It's one of those subscription things they trick kids into buying on the internet without realizing that they're buying anything. When I realized it was happening I called AT&T and told them I wanted the charges removed. They kept reading from their script and pretended like they didn't know what I was talking about and that my kid did it blah, blah, blah. Just stay on the phone with customer service until they remove the charges. I had to get on the phone with them for several months to remove them but the charges finally stopped.
