it is so funny that PoPo and BoBo came up in the same sentence....My DD boyfriend is from New York and Laughs at "our Language"

when he first came to Paulding county he got lost trying to get to Burnt Hickory, he called his friend and said he was on "BooBoo" Road , soon after that

My son a PCSO PoPo left he to take a call on Bobo Rd. Boyfriend said a "Popo on Bobo" how funny .... Welcome to the south !!!!!

  2. We just got back from the funeral home. It was sad, but the reality has set in. Everyone who knew Jay knows where he is now. That helps everyone to accept this great loss. If you didn't know him or ever get the pleasure of hearing him preach, you missed one of the greatest blessings you could ever receive. I am soo thankful to have known this great man and am able to call him my friend. An earlier post stated how he could recite the verses in the Bible, which he could, but he could preach like few preachers know how to preach today. There are three preachers going to preach his funeral, but Jay Bice preached his own funeral in his life. Jay lived so he could win the lost. Not many men would have the courage to go into places where he went and not be ashamed to testify or talk about the Lord like Jay would. That's one of many things that made him so unique. WE LOVE YOU JAY!

I am guessing Bro.Eddie will be one of the preachers, I know Jay helped lead him to the Lord on New year eve years ago. I always loved to hear his testimony of that night. Jay was loved as respected by so many and will be truly missed

  5. Thanks everyone for your kind words and prayers. Today has been long and stressful, but we made it. We spent all day with her and it was the hardest thing ever to leave her. The house feels empty, I just unplugged the baby monitor that has been on every night since Dec. 9, 2007 We are only 7 miles from the hospital and they promised to call if they need me. I doubt if I rest , like gwilli8866 said I have listen for her every night for 2 years. It is going to be a big change for me, sorta bittersweet, not used to having free to to come and go as needed..........

  6. As I posted earlier, we have cared for my 89 year old (alzheimer's) MIL for almost 2 years now. She has been declining for several months.

at this point she needs 24 hour care. So we decided we needed to do the right thing and get her @ the Braly unit @ Paulding nursing unit. Our heart is breaking but we realize this is the best thing for her as far as for her care and her safety, but it doesn't soften the blow. Please pray that this transition goes smoothly for her as well as me and Hubby.
