  5. i have a bunch of smoked deer sausage that my dad made and i always make jumbalaya or red beans and rice with it. But if it is ground sausage just use it like regular ole sausage
  6. I agree with you, 2 of my boys are horrible spellers but are super smart. My 15 yo son is so frigging smart it blows me away, I had a teacher tell me once its because there is no pattern to spelling, and that throws him off. She said not to worry about it because he has such a high reading level. So I don't think I would judge someones use of misspelleds wurds because I usually just think they may be like my boys
  7. Bloom is running a special on hilights right now (I think) give them a call 7704433056
  8. you know there was some candy throwing but it wasn't nearly what I have seen in the past (SWAT TEAM )I just don't see what the big deal is. It's just our little version of a parade (that I love dearly) and the candy is part of it
  9. aww, did you do that? I am amazed at how quickly that thing went up. It looks great, you should have said hello. I was outside working yeah I'm gonna pass out

  11. Hey Mods, what do Ya'll want for Christmas??
  12. that is a good idea, and you didn't even yell
  13. I'm thinking mexican lasagna if I get some stuff finished, if not then we will be having tacos
  14. I love the parade, candy slinging, rude kids, parents and all. There will never be a perfect situation and never will everyone be happy at the same time. It is what it is The parade is once a year, we know what to expect and have learned to deal with it.
  15. All of my kids seem to be a bit more difficult this year. 14yo son wants Xbox this and that and at $65 a piece for anything Xbox so he won't be getting a lot. Usually he gets jeans(doesn't want any) no hoodies either, no CDs he wants the movie Remember the Titans(football ) no small stuff. Of course he never really asks for anything much at Christmas. My 11 yo DD isn't doing barbies or pet shop stuff anymore, she still wants a couple of webkinz though she is an animal lover, she cannot have makeup (maybe lip gloss) but she doesn't really care for that either. I did find some really cute boots
  16. I was 14 and walking my pit bull and he was hanging out with his cousins, said hello and we have been together ever since. I married very young but we have had a great life that includes 4 great kids. We still act like kids most of the time ourselves
