  1. our son payed for his 1st car, when he turned 18 last year he traded it in and we payed the rest for his second car, 96 eclipse, cost us about 2,000. he pays for ins, gas and repairs, it is his car.

  2. He has been a starter and leader on the MS team as has big goals for HS football. Maybe that's where I should go with this?

Same thing here, my son started every game, the coaches love him, and I totally threatened to speak to the coaches about his behavior, his but straightened right out. Like I said you gotta be tough, I know it kills you to see how great your kid is and could be, and then to see them screw up it kills you. If football is what it takes to keep in line so be it, you do what ya gotta do.

  3.  Believe me...I know that is all he thinks about!

I really don't think that they are nit-picking on him. He has always been a good kid and I think he actually tends to get away with more because of this. We do talk a lot and most of the stuff he does is silly stuff, but when it comes to being disruptive, I have to draw the line.

You and I seem to have a great deal in common, My son is an 8th grader at Moses, he lives and breathes football, he is extremely intelligent and the most he has gotten in trouble for is talking to much. Last year he made a few bad choices gave into peer pressure and did a few things out of character for him, he has since turned it around and is back on track. My question is this, how much does your son love football? I know that he has been in a great football program so it would be my guess that it means a lot to him, we have had to remind my son what it would be like if he didn't have football, it is a privelage to play. It keeps him in line. But Tigermama, I have to say it will get tougher on these boys, I have seen these kids get in High school and make some seriously bad choices, you just keep being a tough Mom because that is what it takes, keep reminding him of who he is and what he is capable of and don't forget the occassional kick in the rearend when they don't listen. Bless you

  8. Our Neighbor put a letter in our mailbox because my husband's truck tracked mud int the street, 24 hours later storm blows through and 2 of his trees comes out of the ground by their roots and nearly hit our house. Weird how things come back around.

  9. I've always had this problem for my daughter because she has such a small waste and the size she needs in the waste are way to short. So we have gone to having alot of capris in our house.

[/quoMy daughter is 10 and she can still wear a size 6 except for the length, we buy shorts at Target and Old Navy. Most of them have adjustable waist.
