  1. I have been feeding the deer, turkeys, racoons, opossums, crows, squirrels, fox, coyotes, rabbitts and small turtles.

I would be concerned if you have children that play anywhere near an area that you are drawing, raccoons, foxes or coyotes to find food. I enjoy the squirrels and birdsand other less aggressive animals but I would never want to encourage aggressive wild animals into my yard. But I think you have really great intentions.

  2. Republican and married 27 years. I don't look down upon people that are divorced especially in the case of abuse or adultery, but I do feel that MANY couples give up way too easy. I am a Christian and I took my vows very seriously when we were married. I WILL be with him until death do us part. As for the hypocrite thing.......everyone is a hypocrite, none of us are perfect, but as a Christian, I am forgiven.

I very much agree with you, I married my husband when I was 15, as of today we have been married 19 years. Though we have made many mistakes, we try very hard to keep God at the very center of our marriage, it has worked. My parents have both married 3 or 4 times each, so I understand clearly what divorce can mean. But I also believe people can make the mistake of marrying the wrong person.

  3. My dad called this morning to see what we were doing today, My exact response, I'm taking the monkeys to the zoo. I also on occasion call my older sons, when they are being gross, Buzzards, it's not meant to hurt feelings and they always laugh.

  4. Do you know who publishes the Abney yearbook? I have connections with Walsworth, one of the biggest yearbook publishers in the US. Let me know if that is who publishes it and I see if I can get something done about it.

I just checked, its through Jostens.

  5. That would be an excellent idea except the yearbook has already been submitted and I think it is too late to make any changes. I know there were several parents who tried to submit ads after the deadline and they were told it was already being printed. Maybe next year we could do a memorial page since he would have been "graduating" from elementary school next year.

But there are over 100 kids being redistricted next year, many that knew Tristan, something needs to be done now.

  6. I'm going to add my two cents here... If they made a mistake then they should admit it and the details should have been explained in the post looking to rehome the first dog. I don't like personal attacks but some people call a spade a spade.

There is a difference in giving an opinion about a choice someone made, but a lot of people make very personal attacks, again if they made a mistake, whatever the circumstances maybe, hopefully they will learn from it.

  7. OK, I am lucky enough to have great family around that usually helps watch my kids, but since it's Spring break and I have to work today, I hired a babysitter but it's been so long I am out of the loop as to what they make these days.

She is 18 years old and very responsible and will be watching my 3 kids ages 11, 7 and 5.

    Does anyone have suggestions?

How many hours a day? How far will she be driving?

  8. I tell my 13 y.o. son I'll take his hair gel,he has to look good for the girls, My 7 y.o. son freaks out at the mention of Hannah Montana, he literally hides in the bathroom. My Daughter, 10, accuse her of passing gas and she will have a total melt down. Other son,18, he is just to mean to be tortured. :p

  9. What is the best way to season and cook a good t-bone or rib-eye for tenderness? I want to come by and get some great steaks but don't want to ruin them with my bad cooking skills, lol

The most important thing is to allow the meat to come to room temp. before you grill it. I use salt pepper and garlic pwder. Salt right before you put them on the grill. After you grill them let them rest so they don't dry out.
