  1. Blonde moment of the day... what does the "u/i" mean in "PED U/I OF ALCOHOL/DRUGS"?
  2. Thanks for that arrest database... great resource! The name Diaz would fit the one who stopped in front of my car and smirked.
  3. Was it outside of the Chestnut Grove subdivision? I asked about this earlier... this is what happened, but I have no idea why one (or both) of the youths were arrested. Around 2:45pm today, two teens were hanging out near the [Chestnut Grove] neighborhood entrance. As I approached the entrance in my car to leave the neighborhood, one of them started walking slowly in front of me, then stopped in front of my car with a smirk. He finally moved and I was able to leave. When I came back, there was a police car with lights flashing at the front of the neighborhood, making an arrest. It was
  4. I thought there might be Paulding people who work in aviation or agriculture around here, or who are in flying clubs and could have told me "Yeah, that was my flying club practising some zig-zag moves" or something else concrete instead of all the speculation. Is that so ridiculous? Silly me!
  5. Hm, I'm no conspiracy theorist but I do like to examine facts even if they don't fit with my perfect little worldview so I've been researching this. Apparently lab tests have shown that chemtrails are high in aluminum and barium, and rainwater/groundwater in chemtrail areas have tested extremely high, in some cases 100x what safe levels are deemed to be. I suppose those who only believe what their television and government tell them might say that that's due to the tin-foil hat wearers in the area. Everybody go back to watching your televisions; the government has it all under control!
  6. Mrs. C., that would make sense except these were not flying in the typical circular holding pattern. These were also smaller aircraft, not commercial planes.
  7. I simply want to find out what the official story is for why these particular five planes were criss-crossing my county rather than flying to a destination the way normal planes do. If the official story makes sense, I'll believe it! I didn't post this asking for a single soul to believe in chemtrails. If you want to believe everything wikipedia tells you to believe, you go right ahead with that.
  8. Um, contrails dissipate very quickly. These lingered in the sky. The planes were flying in a criss-cross pattern. Explain that part, please.
  9. This morning on our way to church we saw chemtrails criss-crossing the sky in both Paulding and West Cobb (we saw them from E. Paulding Drive as well as 120). I couldn't believe how many there were -- dozens upon dozens criss-crossing each other. We counted five airplanes creating them. Does anyone know anyone who could find out what the official story is on all those planes spraying this morning? I'd love to know what and why they claim they were spraying.
  10. Now that's funny. Doubt he'd be stupid enough to make a promise like that when anyone whose house he built knows their house was built almost solely by illegals.... (On a positive note, we did ask Mr. Golden to make sure the workers didn't leave any "souvenirs" in the basement, and thankfully they didn't... so in spite of my general opinion of Mr. Golden and my relief that he didn't win yesterday, I will say that is one promise he kept!)
  11. Definitely agree with that, which is why I consider the broken promise related to the house to be MY fault. What I'm referring to as a lie was not a promise that was made that should have been put into writing... it was something factual that he knew was a lie at the time... quite different from a simple broken promise or a misunderstanding. Anyway, I've derailed this thread enough already; my apologies to the OP.
  12. Love that little house! I've seen a similar tiny house that was almost completely solar-powered and was enchanted by the idea. (Although, I wonder if he ever worries that he'll come home one day to find his house has been stolen?!) One thing is certain; if I had to choose between a large house and a large amount of land, I'd choose the land. I could never live in a McMansion on 1/16 of an acre. And I agree with the idea of living in a house that you can own debt-free (I just don't think you have to live in an 89-sq.ft. house to make that happen!). I do live in a decently large (not extrava
  13. Not at all; I was genuinely surprised and confused by your statement that I did. I don't have any axe to grind... if someone reveals something important about their character, I make a note of it and act accordingly; I don't get offended or hold a grudge. The lie was told a few minutes before we signed the contract to build. We found out it was a lie the very next day. We chose to continue with Mr. Golden as our builder but obviously recognized that any promises must be obtained in writing. There was one promise we neglected to ask for in writing so we didn't get what we were promised, but
  14. I didn't say they weren't true. The issue raised that was relevant to me was the claim of absenteeism. I'm satisfied with Mr. Stout's addressing of that issue in this thread. I have an axe to grind? BushMonkey, I'll be happy to send you all my campaign junk mail!
  15. I don't read voting mailers (I read voting records to make my decisions), but after I was just texted about this I fished it out of the trash and read it. Let me just say that I actually LIKE negative campaign pieces if they are accurate and shed light on the very worst about a candidate. I prefer to decide on a candidate based on the full range of the good AND the bad (just as I always make a point to read the one-star reviews before purchasing a book). Mr. Golden's piece, however, is a piece of garbage. It's sensationalistic to the point of being utterly ridiculous. What an embarras
  16. Okay, that is an amazingly BEAUTIFUL home and grounds!! We met Mr. Kelly who was as nice as could be (and I saw his kiddos peeking at us through the windows then hiding... or maybe they were ghosts?! [cue spooky music] He has really turned it into something amazing. The "tree house" in the back is nicer than the house I used to live in! Now I'm off to Google to see if I can find old "before" photos of it.
  17. Happy, it should be a big restored plantation home with white columns and a fountain (from what this person described).
  18. Wow -- THANK YOU!!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your quick reply - you saved me a lot of embarrassment! LOL
  19. I feel silly asking this, but I'm supposed to meet someone there tomorrow morning and I have NO idea where it is (it's not listed as Bartlett House online anywhere). All I know is that there's a fountain in front of it or nearby, and it's owned by Mr. James Kelly. Any leads would be so very helpful -- thanks in advance!!
