Can I reiterate how disappointed I am that I cannot be at steak night? (Perhaps we should call it "Red Meat Night.") And right here in New Hope! We'll have to schedule a do-over later. By the time you folks are having dinner tomorrow, I'll have finished my obligations at Mississippi State and will be driving south to play an evening of piano favorites for my grandmother and the other residents of the nursing home where she now lives. I really enjoyed lunch today with Blazing Saddles and I'm Floored... thanks for the hug!

Y'all tell Rodney that "the Don" couldn't be there but sends his regards.

I appreciate the unanimous consent. That's funny and awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone next week. I suggest that the title of the coming reminder thread not name the business... perhaps that's what got this thread moved. I suggest that the thread clearly indicate that this is simply a coffee-based meet-up of interested pcommers who choose to self-identify with the other announced participants... just like lunches or karaoke or any other in-person meetings announced by pcommers. While commerce is not the real focus of the meeting, it is a welcome and natural by-produc

Y'all have a cup of coffee for AGipperGirl. I miss seeing her around. Wish she could come to the get-together... maybe next week. Anybody know how to get in touch with her?

This one isn't authentic, but it has a sign in the back which is good: Here's the real thing:

Be careful what you offer!

Wish I could be there. I'll be performing at a conference downtown and won't be back until late afternoon.

Next meeting is Feb 12 @ 11:30am at Stars & Strikes. Details at www.pauldingba.org Hope to see some of you there!

I'm certainly no graphic designer... I put that advert together using PowerPoint! But I think it will get the job done. 2008 wasn't as bad a year for me as for some others... but I worked my butt off keeping it between the ditches!

I just wanted to tell you folks -- in addition to the Chamber and Pcom, I've also been doing some other business networking in town. I joined the Paulding Business Association recently -- you may recall that I spoke at a meeting last year. Pubby and LPPT were actually at the most recent meeting. Anyway, I recommend that you consider them because when you join, you get highlighted in the Paulding Community Magazine - the largest direct mailed item in Paulding. Also -- as a member, you get to participate each month in a drawing for free large ad in the magazine... I won a full page a

More magic on the way! Thanks for your support! Hopefully there is enough advance notice on this one that we can really pack the room!

Thanks for coming - MeghanS and Tow... great meeting you! I had a great time and hope to be back at MacFarlane's in the future.

Heading out now... see y'all there, I hope!
-
Thanks, Shawna! Hope to see some of y'all there!

I'll be performing table-to-table magic at MacFarlane's tonight from 5pm to 7pm. Come in, place your order (I believe you get a free kids meal for each adult meal purchased), and I'll entertain you while you wait for your food to appear. Come out and see me, and let's support one of our local Paulding hangouts together! Call your friends and let's fill the place up... it's gonna be fun! See you later! JMT

Thought you might like to know -- I am adding some new material to these shows! I will have some kid-friendly material in the early show that I performed in my family shows at Chateau Elan on the day after Thanksgiving. Young kids are welcome, and they can scream their heads off. In the late show, I will be doing an escape routine using two assistants from the audience who will tie me up. Some of you have been waiting for a chance like this, so here you go! At the show last night here in Augusta, I had a man and his wife come up and they pulled the rope on my wrists so tight that

Really? It is showing up on my pc and my blackberry. Is anyone else unable to see the pic?

Just wanted to chime in with a little reminder for this event. I went by Stars & Strikes last night and they said they had gotten good presales on the show. I did about an hour of strolling last night to promote the show. I expect a good crowd. The management is considering changing this to a $25 ticket and doing it in the restaurant as a dinner deal... maybe dinner, 2 drinks, and a show. That's not worked out yet, but that was part of the discussion last night. If you would like to see the show for $10, tonight may be your best option. Hope to see many of you there!

I am looking forward to this Saturday night show at STARS AND STRIKES. To answer several questions I've received: 1 - Yes, you can pay at the door. 2 - Yes, it is suitable for young kids. It's a clean show - definitely targeted to teens & adults, but not inappropriate for kids. 3 - It runs right at 60 minutes. 4 - You'll be sitting at tables and can enjoy drinks and food during the show. Please tell your friends. Thanks! JMT

It's going to be general admission. The tables will be set up cabaret style. I don't think there's a good way for us to do reserved seating this time. That said, this is basically a "pilot test" of the concept. We -- the S&S folks and I -- are hoping to get this going on a regular basis. If that happens and the demand is there, we could probably limit the seating and do some kind of reservations. It's just difficult to dedicate the time and effort to handling that and checking it at the door right now when we're just trying the idea. Now... if someone slips the maître d' an

Been trying to find a venue for this show for a long time! This show ran for 2 years at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead -- ticket price was $25! I'm happy that we can now bring it to Paulding and make the price affordable enough to include the whole family! You can call Stars & Strikes and ask for the bowling desk to buy advance tickets. Please tell your friends!

That is so sad. I'm really sorry for the loss of your dog. (I always liked that "I'm a hound dog" line from TFATH, too!) I am happy, though, that your family was able to have such a great relationship with your pet, and for the many memories you will have of great times playing together!

Just saw the picture of JWR's son & daughter-in-law on the cover of the local magazine yesterday. Very sad.
