  1. Okay! I'm straight as well, but I don't understand why that had to be said.
  2. Really? You saying I would be celebrating? No, I wouldn't be celebrating, I would be unhappy about it just as much I am about this topic. I'm sick and tired of hearing about this community getting slammed every which way they turn. What are they actually doing to anyone to bring on all this hate? NOTHING!
  3. My point on this is, why did he have to go out of his way to publicly make this statement? If he is saying to each their own, can't stop anyone from doing what they want, then way did he have to say it in the first place?
  4. If he felt that way, okay, but he didn't have to publicly announce it.
  5. Barilla is a famous name in Italian pasta. And it seems they don’t have a taste for gays. If you check your local supermarket here in the states, or in Europe, you’re bound to see Barilla’s products with the familiar red label. They’re a big, worldwide brand. Well, the Chairman of the privately-owned company, Guido Barilla, got himself into some hot water yesterday when he told an Italian radio show that Barilla is a company that “likes the traditional family.” And therefore, you’re not going to see any gays in Barilla’s advertising. And if gays don’t like it, “they can always go e
  6. Take a look at state SAT scores by district here. Here are school-level SAT results. We are discussing the SAT performance at a previous blog entry. Please join us once you check out where your school landed. Here are the highest-performing districts: (Remember that our overall state SAT average score is 1452 out of a possible 2400. The College Board says kids generally need at least a 1550 to do well and finish college.) Forsyth 1580 Cherokee 1567 Fulton 1567 Rome City 1562 Occonee 1554 Fayette 1554 Jefferson City 1531 Decatur City 1528 Floyd
  7. The very first time I moved here (back in the middle 80's) and I saw the store for Piggly Wiggly's, I had to stop the car because I was laughing so hard. I never saw a sign like that. It was just to funny to me. Just like when I moved back here in 1999, and I saw the sign Publix. I started to laugh again, but that time, I had to do a double take.
  8. No matter what context it was in, I still don't like that. What if one of the girls actually doesn't know her father? It's not her fault. And what if she wants to know who he is? I disagree with that mother writing that part.
  9. Candycane, so uncool giving her a negative because she disagrees with you.
  10. The teen who passed away Friday night, name is Jarrett Williams he was a friend of my son's. He went to College in Chattanooga, TN. He was driving a Sidekick which is some kind of jeep and one of his tires had a blowout, he lost control and hit a tree.
  11. A park ranger in a remote Peruvian forest recently encountered a creature that appeared to be some sort of alien. It was short and stumpy, with large purplish ears protruding from the sides of its mottled brown head. It's tongue, also purplish, was long and pointy. But upon close inspection the mysterious creature turned out to be a ground-dwelling cane toad, which somehow had just caught a bat. Yufani Olaya, the ranger who was patrolling in Cerros de Amotape National Park, supplied the image to Rainforest Expeditions. The eco-adventure company posted the photo on its blog under th
  12. Thank you for posting that, I was going to get really upset with the Salvation Army! I will continue to believe in them.
  13. Christmas, it is the time of the year for holiday shopping, and also hearing the bell ringers for the Salvation Army collection donations. Those donations provide Christmas dinners, clothing, and Christmas toys for children in need. The charity collects millions of dollars in donations every year, and they distribute it to needy families, seniors, and the homeless in keeping with the spirit of the holiday season. Finish reading here My link Major Bruce Harmer, the Army’s Communications and Public Relations Secretary recently issued the following statement; “The Salvation Army en
  14. Thank you for posting it for me. I agree about getting rid of the tickets and teaching her daughter a hard lesson, but I don't agree with her saying that about the father day cards.
  15. Any good parent knows that to make a punishment stick, you've got to get creative. Getting grounded is nothing compared to customized consequences. Just ask the Australian girl whose mother put her One Direction tickets up for auction on eBay. It's not just one ticket, either, but four—apparently purchased for the daughter's birthday so that she and a few friends could see the massively popular boy band live in concert. Alas, it was not to be, as a pattern of misbehavior among this clique of young ladies forced mom to play her trump card, shaming the kids in the process. The screed
  16. Not sticking up for her per se, more about her being uneducated about the situation. I'm gathering she is young, and wasn't taught right from the company. So, basically I blame the company for not training her properly. Edit: The cashier (if young) probably isn't aware what blood can do if transmitted, like most of us know.
  17. Well then ladies, then don't EVER set your pocketbooks down any where, especially in a bathroom stall, on the sinks.
  18. I love Scotts, I won't use anything else.
  19. And Blood, secretions, bacteria.....
  20. The way I understood it, is he wanted all the kids to come back and clean/fix what they have done. I would have pressed charges on all 300 kids. I wouldn't have given a rats ass.
  21. Yes, there was. I didn't even think about that part. Then I would have had them completely made my food over again and put them in new containers.
