Betty was the mother of my daughter's longtime friend and room-mate, Pam Willingham. Betty fought a courageous 2 year battle but cancer won the war. She was a sweet family friend and we are saddened by the families heartache and loss. Although there is comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering it is a tremendous loss for the family. Thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

There is one with the older logo of Big Al coming through the "A". I know there is a different style but I can't remember what the vendor said. They do not provide photos so I won't know specifically until we get them in. But, I will definitely be buying Alabama - our #1 selling school.
I am hoping to sell all teams for $20.00. I am waiting on the wholesale price from the vendor. That will determine what I can sell them for. He had given me a price but I've found out looking at the price list he was quoting the receiving blankets and not the tapestry. They are not listed on this price list.

The response to my earlier thread posted for a Georgia Tech Baby Tapestry Blanket Throw has been overwhelming. As a result I am going to be getting in more of these for GT and other schools. If you would be interested just let me know. I am going to post the photos from the GT one again. I know Alabama comes in two different styles and although I'm not sure of the exact design of the other schools. But, if you are interested I can get a photo for that specific school. They are great quality and sell for only $20.00. Great baby shower or gift for a sports fan.

YUMMMMMMM......the wings were GREAT yesterday (as always) as were the cheese sticks, onion rings and burger!!! (And, no I didn't eat it all - I have leftovers for lunch today and DH had the cheeseburger OF COURSE!!!

Dale Jr has made over $300 Million in his career....most of it was made off hats, t-shirts, bumper stickers, etc. Not too bad in my view. Sure he hasn't won as many as Jimmie Johnson or even Jeff Gordon, but the bottom line is EARNHARDT brings in the money and NASCAR is a much better sport because of Dale Jr.

Being in the sports apparel business I can say Dale, Jr is ALWAYS good for business~win or lose. And, there is always talk among vendors/retailers/etc that IF Junior were to win a Championship they won't be able to make the merchandise fast enough. (BTW, I can count on one hand the number of Championship items I sold the year Matt Kenseth won and also last year when Smoke won.) Junior's fans are LOYAL fans and don't jump on (or off) the bandwagon. Junior's interview thanking his fans for standing behind him all the years of drought was nice.
Being a race car driver cannot be compared to a "regular" person having a job and only showing up one day in four years. Junior has shown up to work every day - and more than just on Sundays. There is so much more to NASCAR than driving in circles. And, yes he has had good equipment for several years (but just like with every driver on the track not every race do they have good or the right equipment) but so many elements have to be right to get to Victory Lane......no one else blows a tire in front of you, the driver/crew chief are on the same page/communicate, the right tires for a particular track, gas mileage, etc, etc, the list goes on and one. Each week all of these factors come together for "someone" to reach the checker flag first. No other driver has the stress, pressure or eyes on him as Junior does and no, it's not a National Holiday. There was a lot made of Junior's win just as there was a lot made of each race in 143 that he didn't win. Junior has consistency this year that has put him 2nd in points. Consistency is the key. Last year Tony didn't win a race during the regular season and said many times he didn't deserve to be in the Chase. Then he went on to win five of ten Chase races and IS the reigning Champion! Junior is good for the sport - personally I don't think it is good for any driver to dominate the sport. We didn't like it when his Daddy won the majority of the races just like we don't like Jimmie winning so many Championships. But, I often say "it would be an awfully boring world if we all cheered for the same football team, golfer, NASCAR driver, etc, etc.
And, YES, I'd be happy with just a small fraction of that $300 million Juniot made last year. Just sayin'.

We won't be able to come tonight but will definitely be getting some wings soon - maybe over the week-end. The crispy lemon pepper are YUMMMMMMY. BTW, the cheese sticks are THE BEST I've ever eaten anywhere, anytime!!! We should have gotten a double order earlier.

Wayne is in the kitchen~Now THAT is some exciting news!!! His coconut cake is the BEST. The last time we were there for dinner we got his "Butt Ugly Cake" I've heard so much about for years and it lived up to it's reputation. YUMMMMM. Can't wait to get a piece of the caramel cake, too. It has been missed!!!
