Their food is wonderful I never had anything there I did not love so much that I over ate.
Where I have lunch has a lot to do with what part of town I am in.You can call me anytime to check if I want to have lunch with you.
I hate having lunch alone, Pubby is still on the diet so I am without a lunch partner most days.
I AGREE 110%!!! The best compliment anyone can get is when my children say "That taste just like Nanny's" and it does! Especially the fried okra and cream corn. YUMMMMMM.

I used it a lot 4-5 years ago to give stuff away (I am one of those who can just not throw anything away) and also got some great stuff off of it. One lady was all the time offering clothes and shoes in my size that were brand new. I still wear one pair of the shoes.

We ate at the New Year's day dinner and I hate to say it but the food was NOT good. The pork was dry, never saw any black eyed peas, the potato's were not cooked completely and the mac & cheese was dried out.
I have eaten at Rodney's several times before and we have had them cater lunchs for our company on several occasions and the food is always GREAT. But after January 1, 2013 we will not be eating or having them cater any more.
This doesn't sound AT ALL like the meal my family and friends ENJOYED on Jan. 1st. Matter of fact I was talking to one of my friends yesterday and she brought up again how much they enjoyed the New Years Day Feast. She said she hoped Rodney would do this again next year as her family would like to make it a family tradition. I told her I thought this was the 2nd or 3rd year Rodney had done it so maybe he would again. Her SIL ate FOUR huge plate fulls. I laughed and was not surprised because Kirk is a BIG man and I had said when we made plans to go that Rodney was going to lose money on that customer. Several have talked about how good it was throughout the week. And, believe me, IF there had been a problem or they had not liked it they would not have been shy in saying so. DH was talking about how good the Mac & Cheese was specifically (even comparing it to my famous M&C
)and said "you know I don't like black eye peas but those were good. I don't know what Rodney did to them but I liked the black eye peas today." In our YEARS of marriage I have never seen the man eat black eye peas so they must have been really good!! He mentioned how good the pork and pork chops were, too. I had asked if they had ribs (I LOVE Rodney's ribs) but he said they didn't. I have regretted even more that I was not able to go and enjoy what everyone has been bragging so much about!I have to ask amandad DID you talk to Rodney or Tammy on Tuesday about your displeasure or simply come on a public forum to do it???
There have been VERY FEW times (I could count on one hand and have a couple of fingers leftover) throughout the years in all the probably 1000's of times we have eaten at Rodney's that we have had a problem with the food there. But, if so we addressed it with either of them and it is corrected and taken care of IMMEDIATELY. We have never left there unhappy.
I am sorry you had a bad experience but I am really surprised at your description of the meal compared to all the rave reviews I have heard (and continue to hear) from our group of 10 that ate the NYDF.

Our family and friends LOVED IT!!! Everyone has been bragging how good the food was and what a pleasant experience it was. Unfortunately I missed it being at home with bronchitis AGAIN!!

We registered a couple of weeks ago but added 4 more family members today. Gonna enjoy all the good eats and none of the cooking & mess. Of course I don't eat the greens, collards, black eye peas but I am sure there will be plenty for me to partake. Guess now we know why I don't have good health, good luck and plenty of money, huh????

I am going back to Alabama tomorrow to pick up more merchandise. Wanted to put this out there if anyone needs an Alabama Football Jersey in a Youth Size. These are Officially Licensed NIKE Football Jerseys. When I was there on Monday they had them available for numbers 22, 10, 42 and a couple others. They were also available in most all youth sizes. I disagree.......
I ate at Benson's often because it was close to work. It was "okay" but had gone down hill lately. The one good thing they had going for them is that Tina was an AWESOME waitress.
We go to Rodney's on Sunday afternoons. The food is 100x better than Benson's.
Their lemon pepper smoked wings are the
.If your server on Sunday afternoon is a cute and funny dark haired beauty I take credit for her amazing personality and good looks.
She is also a VERY GOOD server...........I birthed her!!! 
And, I second your opinion of the smoked lemon pepper wings!!
I just did a FULL moon check..........it's not until December 28..........15 days.

I tried their wings one time (fundraiser day, maybe??) and they were small, dried up had NO meat on the bones and I sent them back. I just ate my french fries and left it at that. Won't be doing that again!!!!!!
Other than the Market Deli WIngs at the Douglasville Mall, Publix wings are AWESOME!!!! They are HUGE and you can get 20 for $9.29 and they have them on sale for like $7.49, quite often!!! Most of the restaurants prices for wings are approximately $1.00 ea wing.
I hate it you had a bad experience with Rodney's wings. Maybe he had a different wing for the fundraiser? But, when we have eaten them on the $.40 or $.50 they have been big and tasty.
I have never had the wings from Market Deli in D'ville (actually never heard of it). But, I AGREE about Publix wings. All their flavors are VERY GOOD and large. When DH was working and drove past the Publix on 120 on his way home he would pick them up and get their steak & cheese sub. We would have a good dinner sharing it all. YUMMMMMM.....I wish there was a Publix closer now I want their wings!!!

Hubby stopped by Benson's to get me my Lemon Pepper wings and they were locked down. No sign saying sorry we are gone, or anything. I am disappointed because I loved their wings.
Have you tried Rodney's wings???? OMGOSH. They are really good - especially the Lemon Pepper and he has Parmesan Garlic. We have not had a good Parmesan Garlic since we would go to Winston's in Austell for DS to sing karaoke. And, that was like 10 years ago! We really like Rodney's wings. Nice and meaty. Of course his location might not be convenient for you.

The Rodney's on 92 was a partnership between Rodney and Greg (?) Benson. Rodney sold his portion to him and it became Benson's. They remained friends, just a business decision. Benson's closed Monday for good. Rodney is still open for business and all is well. I know for a fact they are still open - DD worked there yesterday.
