hwood=Hollywood a name that was pegged on me by Carl McTyre at work.I've been here 19 yrs.(there sis a LOOOOng story behind that name) and it just stuck cant seam to out run it no matter how hard I try...I changed a lot but someone always remembers me by that name

Does it bother you (ya'll ) when people move here and compain about Georgia incessantly?

 

I understand people moving here to try it out and deciding they want to move back home. I have lived places I didn't like and went back to where I did like it.

 

I'm talking about the people who move to Georgia (Paulding in particular) from another state or another county that whine about living here. If they are so unhappy, why do they stay? Why would you move here to escape somewhere else then do all you can to change Paulding into the place you just left?

 

I hail from a small town in California and I love it here. Everyone complains sometimes, but I know people who never stop.

 

Does that bother you born-and-bred folks?

 

 

Not realy, most of the time you can over look things.We just have a different way of doing things here.I've been hereall my life (42)yrs.With the complaints comes some thought on how I can improve our world.I'm not a redneck...just from the south and proud of that fact.Old dogs can learn new tricks

My wife and I read Dave Ramsey's book Financial Peace and have been blessed by this book and our actions. So it got me thinking about another hurdle that I have been facing for years....losing weight. Dave's book was empowering, so I'm looking for a book or other "inspirational boost" to get focused on permanent weight loss. So if you have lost unhealthy weight and kept it off what did you do or what thing did you cling to that kept you going?

[Prayers for my little girl]

Everyone please say a little prayer for our daughter. A year ago she was diagnosed with a hole in the heart (I posted a topic about it then and got some very positive feedback ). Anyway, they told me to come back a year later and check on it again to see if it has closed up on it's own, that appt. is tomorrow. Please just keep her in your prayers that all is well and no surgery will be needed. Thank you guys!!
