  1. This was going to be my suggestion as well. They are delicious!

I am always paranoid to leave my crock pot on while im not home...and i hate that bc there are so many crockpot recipes i want to try!!

  2. Yeah...sigh. That's why i need different ideas! lol. It's the only meat we have in the freezer and we are trying to save money right now because we are about to move. Might as well eat what we already have!

  3. Welcome to my world. I get a pinched nerve in my lower back all the time. Somedays are worse than others. One lasted 3 months. I used icy hot, rotated hot and cold, pain pills you name it. Those things ease the pain, but doesn't fix it...the nerve has to release. I now do major stretching when I feel it about to catch. (yes I actually can feel when it's going to happen...it sux) LOL Stretching helps. I've been to the chiropractor and honestly, it didn't help me. I wish you the best of luck. I know it's painful.

I try to stretch but feel like i can never pull myself back up ! lol How will the dr know it's that in order to prescribe something? What kind of tests can they run for that?

  4. Does she qualify for AFDC? What about Food Stamps, medicaid? Being jobless with a baby she'll most likely qualify for gov't aid. Also, what about unemployment?

Tell her to try all the fast food joints. They've got such a high turnover rate that they are always hiring. But the first thing I would do is try the state aid. I know it can be embarrassing, but as a single mom, I've been there. It's there to help people get back on their feet, Which is what your sister needs. Good luck. I will keep my ears open. How old is she? Does she have any exp at anything?

I don't know that she would qualify for unemployment since she is "technically" still on the payroll at her other job. And she can't afford to leave there because in case they do call her in from time to time it is still money she needs.

She just turned 27 and has done clerical work, retail and fast food. I have never heard of AFDC? What is it and how do you go about applying? She may get food stamps...im not sure on that one.

  5. My sister has a 4 month old , she is staying with a friend and is trying to find a job but obviously due to the economy she is having a hard time finding one. The job she was working at said they are only needing her now basically on a as need basis..and they haven't called her in since. She can't afford this. Her car insurance has just been cancelled due to not being able to pay it. Her car needs repaid and keeps shutting off on her at random while driving down the road. She is staying with a friend and gets wic so she is able to get formula etc. Other than this she has no source of income so she is having a very difficult time right now.

My question is does anyone know of anyone hiring or know of any facilities that lend helping hands in these situations. Any advice you could offer would be great.

  6. I think i have pinched a nerve in my back . It is almost to the point it hurts just to move. Is this something i need to see the dr about or can they do anything for it? Does it heal on it's own with time? It hurts so bad. :(

  7. That's what i said! I figured she was fine eating little bits of the food we eat on a regular basis. But her daddy was wanting to try these. I think we will just keep feeding her what we eat!

  8. Who has the best prices on Lil Graduate Meals? I am going to start getting them for my daughter today and wanted to get the best deal. Suggestions?

  9. Thanks for all of the great suggestions. I am reconsidering and may try all of these for a few weeks. We do leave food and water in her kennel constantly...so i obviously need to stop that. We do treat her when she pottys outside, but we give it to her after we come back in. I will try carrying the treats out with me. I just don't understand why she poops outside and then inside immediately afterwards.

She is about 3 1/2, is that going to be too old to try all of this? We tried alot of it in the beginning but maybe we just weren't consistant enough.

  10. crate train her. She needs to understand that outdoor is for potty, indoor is not. A dog, generally will NOT potty where it lives (thus the crate)...I assure you it works. Do NOT give her full run of the house, she must be treated just like the baby...if you can't watch her, she is in the crate.

ETA: NOT saying your toddler is kept in a crate...but, I'm sure she is protected when you aren't watching her ;)

We do crate her. As soon as she uses the potty inside she goes in her crate. She will not use the bathroom in there no matter how long she has to wait...but it doesn't phase her at all to know she is going in there if she pottys inside...sometimes she will even go in there herself afterwards so i know she has used the bathroom somewhere.

Unless you're properly and completely cleaning up the spots where she goes to the bathroom, you're only making things worse. Remembering that a dog's sense of smell is at least 100 times more sensitive than a human (up to 1,000 times more, according to some) ... just because you can't smell it doesn't mean that she can't. And for a dog, if it smells like a bathroom it is a bathroom. Between Nature's Miracle (used exactly as directed) and the crate training in the vast majority of such cases the problem can be resolved.

I have NEVER thought about it that way and i am now 98% sure that is part of the problem. We obviously clean it up the best we can...but sometimes not knowing that she has done it , it sits until we come across it which could be a couple hours later..in which case it is hard to get all of it out. You may have very well just solved my problem!

  11. We are trying to decide whether we should get rid of our dog or not. I know i will cry for weeks if we do, but she is constantly using the bathroom inside...even right after we take her out to potty. I have a one year old and my floors are so stained and I don't like the idea of her playing around and falling on them. Granted we are about to move anyways but i def wouldn't want this to continue happening in the new house. She is a sweet dog other than the bathroom situation. We also aren't home enough to play with her like she needs and deserves. I am so stressed at the thought of getting rid of her because one, i will miss her dearly..but two you never really know people you know? I don't want her to be abused. :( Does anyone have any advice? Either on the pottying or finding a good place to take her if we do go that route?

  12. There is a house for rent on bruce court off mount tabor. I have left 2 messages and am currently waiting on the call back :D Just curious if anyone happens to know the details of the house or if Mr. Bruce himself is a pcommer that i could get in touch with on here B)
