  1. Yess, yes, i'm a big dumb animal..I really have to learn to type though...:) glenn

I do love your store. When I lived in Paulding County, I ALWAYS chose you guys over the post office :bad: or anywhere else for that matter. Friendly, knowledgeable and in an easy to get to location. If I werent all the way in Kennesaw, I would still be giving you my business. :)
  2. In MOST (not all) instances I totally agree with you all. But tonight has shown exceptionally well how poorly our emergency system is. I can't believe that our 911 operators are telling people that our emergency vehicles can't drive in this.

I understand it's happening over all of North Georgia, but to tell a resident that they may not get help until tomorrow, really?

    Agreed.
  3. That sounds so yummy and a great deal, too! I will be in for lunch before the weekend. I've been wanting to try Rodneys but since I'm not in Paulding, I forget about it  . I WILL be there for the soup that sounds delectable :) and I'm bringing friends with me.

Thnx for posting and letting us know! :)

  4. freeze an onion for a few minutes before you cut it...no tears!

I know I have more, I have to think about it.

Good one, Zoo! :clapping: I've always heard to light a candle next to the onion where you're cutting it, too. Also, you can get a burn/singe mark out of a linen or tablecloth but rubbing it with salt, an onion then a lemon. Wash it and it's gone. Really works!

Hire someone to come in, cook, and then leave before any guest arrives.

  5. Ah! Thnx! This reminded me of a recipe that I love and forgot about. Mexican lasagna. Yummy. You use soft tortillas instead of lasagna pasta and layer meat, beans, cheese and whatever mexican sauce you like. So good and rather inexpensive too....goes a long way!

  6. Are you kidding? Deal's buddies will bail him out and he will pay them back with our money if he is elected. Nathan Deal has always been a crook, but now he is a desperate crook. Why in the world anyone would vote for this man absolutely baffles me.

disgusting but true. Barnes has my vote the I'm voting Libertarian on every other race. If we keep voting the same, we will keep getting the same :bad: :bad: :bad:

  7. I'm a Libertarian all the way and I voted for Barnes already(early voting). He's far and away BETTER than Deal or anyone the GOP has to offer. He is a Dem but NOT a Liberal. Hope he gets in...we cant stand another pandering governor in Ga. And, I cant talk about the so called "underpaid" teachers and cops. I'll be banned from Pcom forever.

  8. You can't be serious! what about the victim and are they confused. People are looking for everything except the point. There was a victim, where was there rights? Excuse me he should be hung up by his jewels, next how could Beverly not know? Also she is a wife and her husband went to jail for a crime,so she is involved. She tried to keep this secret untill after the election, she is as guilty as her other half.wacko.gif

I agree, Animal. It's a horrendous thing to believe ANYONE could do to a child(not saying he is guilty)and it's hard for any of us to REALLY think about. But, again, the child should come first and if anyone knew and didnt disclose it because of the election(or any other reason), they should be prosecuted.

God help this child and this family.

  9. :bad: Folks should NOT be more patient. Folks should get involved and be 100% certain that a child is NOT being harmed. If I was being harmed, I wouldnt want folks to be patient, and give it some time before anyone spoke up for me.

I'm done here. I'm feeling very sick all of a sudden.

I have read all the above posts. Lots of good arguments on every side(and a few crazy ones, too). But I have to agree that the child comes first and ANYONE with ANY knowledge at all MUST step up and speak out and do EVERYTHING they can to get to the truth and to protect and help the child.

This story reads like a John Grisham novel set in the South. It's always the same when you get to the bottom of it...power, prestige, money, accusations, cover up, pulling strings in the "good ol boy" system(which Paulding knows a WHOLE lot about). It's just disgusting to think that this COULD have been covered up by more than a few adults and even worse, adults who are public servants and hold office in our local government that you and I put there. :bad:

I agree with EJ78, this makes me sick too. I hope and pray that this case falls into the right hands and justice can be served. It is very sad for the entire family. I hope he is not being accused wrongly but even more so, I hope the child involved at whatever level is getting the compassion and help they need.

Oh and I dont even live in Paulding but heard rumors of this before the election that ring pretty true to what we now know to be fact.

  10. With the old cook back, the food was great. The waitresses did an exceptional job. And Mark...was Mark! :good:
