  1. Doncha just love how people who have never studied economics, never worked in upper management or operated a business, never had any real training or experience to qualify them: seem to think they know all about it.
  2. The fact that the DemoSocialists here put people who want free stuff without doing anything to earn it above individuals who have served their country in the Armed Forces is disturbing.
  3. At least they did service to our country. Not nearly the same as all the lazy asses on welfare. Do you see anything but extremes? Making lots of money because you're smart and make wise choices is not necessarily greed. If you think otherwise, then you should immediately throw that computer you're using into the trash to protest Bill Gates.
  4. The National Guard is not honorable service? http://www.nationalreview.com/article/211985/facts-about-bush-and-national-guard-byron-york
  5. Of course...people working in the trades might have to (gasp) get their hands dirty.

  7. Well...to clarify, we need people who sit behind a computer all day. But if everyone sits behind a computer all day, who will repair cars, build houses, fix air conditioners, etc?
  8. Let me be clear that I am not hostile to college education in any way. But the fact is; probably the majority of people graduating college these day shave a degree that is almost worthless in the current economy. I think that will change at some point, but for now a lot of people are spending big bucks on an education that will do them no good. Most people who are trained in construction trades have more income potential than the average college grad right now. A crack HVAC guy, electrician, plumber, mechanic, etc can knock down 6 figures while a lot of college grads are waiting tables. Our
  9. Nah, I was reading between the lines. You were making accusations about me without quite crossing the line of actually doing it.
  10. I'm definitely not a victim, pubby. I'm a self-made man who's never taken a dime of government assistance, not even unemployment. And I've built a good life for myself and my family, in spite of adversity at times. I'm not a victim here either. If anything, I'm probably considered quite the enemy of your Socialist agenda. All those pesky facts I present tend to get in the way of your propaganda and envy based sheeple herding. You see...in spite of your inaccurate portrayal of me and other conservatives above; I am a huge supporter of making the truth and real facts available to everyon
  11. Oh, so I'm a liar and crook now, huh. "Another fundraiser"? When was the first?
  12. Oh boy... I'm gonna need to buy some waders after that one. Popp's getting deep in here. 'Course since I'm a vulture, I can just circle overhead.
  13. According to a certain female member here; everyone who doesn't worship at the feet of the Socialist left is a Tea Party member.
  14. As a general rule...LED lighting uses about a fifth of the power of an incandescent bulb of the same lumens (light output). LED's are roughly 25% more efficient than CFL's, and with a much better quality of light. Perhaps most important...the reason LED's use approximately one fifth of the power incandescent do is because most of the energy goes to making light instead of heat. Conversely, most of the energy incandescent bulbs use makes heat, which causes your air conditioning to work harder. So in the summer time, you get a double savings from using energy efficient bulbs. Years ago,
  15. Yep, good explanation. We use daylight bulbs in dressing areas for true color rendition. But in areas such as a living room or bedroom, you might want a soft white or warm white for a more relaxing environment.
  16. One ting to be careful of...they also sell LED replacement bulbs that are designed to work with the ballast still in. Personally, I would not use those because, as Postman mentioned, you would still be subject to ballast failure. They are also less efficient because you still have the loss of the ballast in the circuit. Best to use the ones The Postman mentioned where the ballast is removed. The wiring is very simple for anyone comfortable working with electricity. I have been slowly but surely changing out the lighting in my home with LED. It's by far the best alternative yet; both energy ef
  17. The political left too often leaves human nature out of the equation. We tend to appreciate what we gained through our struggles and determination, but take for granted what was given to us. Whether it be the entitlement lifestyle or "free" education; it too often doesn't contribute to the ethic that is in short supply these days. Even student loans don't have the desired effect until too late, that being when thy have to be paid back. We'd be better off to encourage a system of more affordable education through market competition between various institutions learning. And let's be

  19. Certainly, I hope justice is done. But let's get real about this, Postman. The only reason you give the first crap about this is because Roger Ailes is a Republican and he was in charge of Fox News.
