I believe there was a meeting in Acworth recently to discuss an exit off of I-75 that would run up Third Army Road, cross over (Overpass) Hwy 41, and continue onto Dabbs Bridge.

Rude accusations; what rude accusations? I’m not going to coddle; it was put out there as an arrest for 15 over the speed limit. Reason and logic beg the question, was there something more? The “rude accusation” accusation restated he went to jail, but didn’t nail down it was for speeding alone. Can you go for 15 over? Yep, but the odds are very slim. The liability factor alone of putting someone in jail for an offense usually released on a copy makes it highly unlikely. Once in custody he / she becomes the responsibility of the SO. Let that person slip and fall in the jail, and everyone will

70 in a 55 zone = Jail? What's the rest of the story?
-
If not in a school, construction, or residential zone; you had to be doing at least 11 mph over the speed limit to get cited.

You mean like former Cobb County, GA, Public Safety Director Mickey Lloyd?

Am I the only one that thought it might have been a good idea for the garbage truck to have been thoroughly cleaned before driving it in a parade?

Several of those states do not say checkpoints are unconstitutional or prohibit them.

Prosti-toasties. They don’t snap, crackle or pop; just lay there and bang.

These things are set up months in advance; so much for the Sunday sales theory. They primarily use traffic enforcement officers; so much for no cops on patrol. The checkpoints wouldn’t be done if they were illegal; so much for 4th Amendment theories. You, I and everyone else have the right of movement; you have no right to do so by automobile, or aircraft for that matter. Feel free to walk across the country. If an officer stops you and you haven’t done anything wrong tell him you’re exercising your rights. If they continue to detain you; sue is a verb as well as a noun. The primary agency is

This event is being conducted by the Western Regional Traffic Enforcement Network (WRTEN). The enforcement is rotated to a different jurisdiction each month. The benefit is shared resources. If you have a small dept and set up a check point, your resources can be overwhelmed in a hurry. As for being “interrogated” and “searched”; the encounter is brief. The officer asks to see the drivers license, makes a plain view observation, checks the tag, and you’re on your way. You don’t have to say a word; although most people do exchange greetings with the officer or ask what is going on. The officer

Some are announced, some are not. The lead agency decides.

Jetasmom - You have no obligation to engage in conversation with an officer at a road check. You are required to display your license. Looking in the window of a vehicle on a street is a far cry from walking onto someones property.

What search and interrogation?

These events are planned well in advance. Paulding is using their traffic officers; adjusting their work hours.

The 100 officers are from multiple agencies.
