  1. Truer words have not been spoken! plus, his email rants to the new House of Representatives leadership has not helped his cause with anyone inside the Capitol, in the Ag Department or with the new county administration once his email has forwarded to "Jerry's Palace" as he likes to call it.....
  2. I attend church with his parents and I am stunned and terribly saddened by this news. RIP Paul Jr. and prayers for this entire family.
  3. Well, he is not going to resign his office. Unless the House Republican Caucus can vote him out, you haters are stuck with him.
  4. I am right here. Unlike many, I actually work for a living and don't breathe paulding.com As for Glenn, I don't know what to think at the moment. I am shocked and saddened by what was reveiled in Susan's interview. As for what should happen to him as Speaker, that is for the House Republican Caucus to decide.
  5. I did. You choose either not to read it or just to close your eyes.
  6. Last time I checked, the Richland Creek Reservoir still had not gotten the okay from the Corps of Engineers. I don't know about Richardson but Gingrey had a 1 million earmark for it. Truthfully, the state doesn't have the money and will not have the money to fund anything beyond the basics for the next couple of years.
  7. What do you expect him to do as Speaker? Exempt all Paulding residents from taxes? Honestly. There really isn't anything he can do for paulding except for funding issues. That is the limitations he has even though he is in a very powerful position. BTW, we didn't put him in his position, All we did was elect him to the House. The Republican caucus elected him Speaker and that his something we can only take away at the ballot box. The state issued the bonds for the library and the fire station in the name of Paulding County. That is why they had to accept the bids. As for him vot
  8. Ask the YMCA what he did for them or ask the Drummond family how thrilled they are about the Tara Drummond Park. Or, that library and fire station that are being built in North Paulding. Or, ask the Boy Scouts what he has donated for them or the countless fundraisers he, personally and not the law firm, supported. Why not ask the McKenna horse farm what he did for them? You are so transparent it is sickening.
  9. I did answer your question.....
  10. I've got some news for you: everything you posted on this thread is totally unfounded and 100% freaking wrong. I don't know what issue you have with Glenn (two n's as someone has already pointed out) but give it a rest already. You have made yourself look absolutely silly.
  11. You are quite an ass, aren't you? I don't think Glenn planned on invading Alabama anytime soon. Two totally different situations to which you like to paint with a broad brush. The good thing about being Speaker is that he can step back until January to get his life in order. He is not the chief executive of this state. We have Sonny, God bless us, until next November. He doesn't have the responsibility of the free world, or even Georgia, sitting on his shoulders.
  12. That is the Rakestraw's place and they are still in the home. FEMA believes that the dam will break.
  13. I am so terribly sorry to hear of Willie Mae's passing. My prayers are with the Pace and Austin families.
  14. You can't vote today. You will have to wait until tomorrow.
  15. Wow, this family really didn't need to bury another. My prayers are with them.
  16. Visitation at Clark's Funeral Home on Friday, October 27th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The service will be held in Hiram United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 28th.
  17. Mr. Smith was such an asset to Austin. He did the announcing at the football games and he dressed up as Santa Claus for the kids of Austin's teachers. He contributed so much to his school and he will be terribly missed. The information I am receiving for his funeral is he will have a burial at sea (a former Navy man) and a memorial service for the community.
  18. Because a teacher perished on Ridge this morning.
  19. Here is the thread that was started this morning: http://forum.paulding.com/forum/index.php?...topic=37344&hl=
