My BFF works for Board of Education and just told me there will be no school tomorrow

This may sound bad, but our kids are 3 and 5 and they already do chores to earn spending money for themselves. Small things like cleaning their rooms, making their beds, taking their plates to the sink etc, taking care of their dog, nothing big because they are still young. But it makes them feel proud that they earned that money themselves and they dont spend it on silly things. (well my 3 yr old does, but its because all he knows is toys)... I think it makes them appreciate their $$ and stuff more when they earn it themselves rather than us just giving them whatever the heck they want.

Maybe he was new? Give him a break, at he's least working

I drove it this morning, it is fine, just drive slow and leave plenty of room. I drive a little cavalier and I made it just fine.

Whitlock isnt that bad, I drove it this morning at 6:30 and made it through, just drive slow.

Imagine my surprise... It's a good thing though, roads are pretty bad still.

It was snowing pretty good in marietta a few minutes ago. its slowed down now and there is NO sun at all... supposed to be 16 degrees in the morning and not above 27 today. Fun times!

I drove 120 all the way to 41, through the square, it was pretty bad, but I made it in my little front wheel drive cavalier. YAY me!! LOL

Instead of complaining about the roads and ice, etc..why cant people just stay home like they are warned to do? Its makes perfect sense. If you have an employer who absolutely has to have you at work on days like this, then maybe you need to reconsider who you work for because maybe they arent concerned with the safety of their employees. Just sayin.....

Unthaw when they want something to not be frozen? If you want something to become not frozen, does that not mean you want it to "thaw" out?? I've never understood that

I went Dallas hwy all the way to the square thinking its a major traveled road so surely its good. NOT! There was ice everywhere, its passable also, but use extreme caution.

If it were that easy I would have placed my order in the fall for summer year round LOL.....

Our 5 yr old daughter just told me that we needed to get on the internet and order some summer..... I just love how everything is so simple for them. Oh and its SNOWING here in the Dallas Nebo area

Then y'all will complain about the kids school day being too long, and by the way, when hubby and I both were in school (in Paulding county) they added days to the end of our school year. Ok for those of you who wanted me to eat my words, yay, hooray, hooray, hoorah, we have snow...(I hope you can detect my excitement)

I said I am thankful for the advanced warning, but just WHAT IF, and I said IF nothing happened, then the kids have missed a day of school for no reason and then y'all are gonna bitch and complain when they have to go an extra 2 or 3 days at the end of the year to make up for the day that they missed due to people being scared. I do what I can...

I have a child in school as well, Im thankful for the advance warning, BUT..they should have at least waited until something was falling to close I dont care either way if we get the crap, thehy are just jumping the gun alittle.

When we wake up tomorrow morning with absolutely nothing on the ground and school is already closed. This is a bit ridiculous!

I think its gonna be hilarious when we wake up tomorrow with nothing and they already closed schools!! Also, my daughter had a dental appt tomorrow and I just got a call from them that they are closed tomorrow !! Why close when nothing has even started yet???

My Best friend works for the Board of Education and she told me that PAULDING schools ARE closed tomorrow.
