HOME INVASION NEAR SCOTTS STORE YESTERDAY

A couple weeks ago I had a teenager come to my door and ring the doorbell repeatedly. I looked out the window and just assumed he was selling something and decided not to answer. He rang the doorbell probably 5/6 times and then proceeded to open the glass door and pound on the door. I decided something must be wrong and opened the door. The guy says, "I am staying with my brother and he ain't got no internet, you got internet?" I said yes and he says "can you give me your code so I can go on, I got homework to do". I told him I didn't know anything about a code and I couldn't help him. He -

I heard that the individual(black) knocked on the door told the woman his car had broken down and wanted to use her phone to call someone. She told him she would call the number for him. Apparently when she went for the phone he went to the back door, kicked it in and attacked her. There have been several breakins in the area this week. Things are really getting bad. Everyone should be made aware of what is going on in their neighborhood. I haven't heard anything yet on the news about it which seems strange. -

yes, I know the lady and family. I know she was in pretty bad shape. Just wondering if they caught the guy or if anyone has heard from her this morning. -
Does anyone know how the lady is doing or if they caught the guy?

Thanks for the response....are you paying for the 30.0 mbps? If so, doesn't the 5.75 download speed seem low? Your upload speed is not much more than mine. I just don't know enough about it, but it seems you should be getting close to what you are paying for. I just don't know if I am doing something wrong or if ATT is screwing me... I am on the South 61 side of town...Do you mind telling me which side of town you are on. -
I have AT&T High Speed Internet service....I spent an hour on the phone with them yesterday trying to determine what "speed" for downloading/uploading I should be getting for my 39.95mo. They could/would not tell me.... My service to me is terrible....Netflix reloads about every 2 minutes at least. Somebody told me to try getting a better router to see if it would help.... I did and it doesn't. When I call AT&T to complain, they run a test from their end and it works better for a couple of days and then back to the same old thing. On the AT&T Speed Test my readings a

I have several empty oxygen tanks which have been in my basement for years....I have tried to give them to different oxygen supply companies, the hospital, medical equipment rental places, and even nursing homes, but it appears no one wants them. They all say they can't take them because they don't know what has been in them.....too much liability. My husband had these thru several companies during the years and I have contacted all and they say they have "nothing on the books" so they won't pick up either. I know they are metal of some sort, maybe aluminum....Does anyone know if yo

Where are local junkyards for larger trucks?
freebird20050 replied to freebird20050's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Thanks for the good advice. Where are the pull-a-part locations you are referring to. I have tried Lost Mtn. Salvage and Grey and White in Carrollton but they were the only ones I found on the internet. Not familiar with any other local places to try. -
Anyone happen to know of any junkyards or someone who might have one sitting in their yard???? 1997 6.5 Chevrolet 3500 Diesel Heavy-Duty engine Appreciate any info on local places I might check.....hard to find if they don't use the yellow pages..

Paulding County Public Safety Apprectiation Day Oct 9th
freebird20050 replied to LisaG's topic in RECENT TOPICS
In no way was I trying to "ruin" this event and I sure as hell was not asking for any money on thier behalf......I was just surprised that these 4 men have never really been shown any appreciation or recognition from the County for using their personal resources and putting their lives and property on the line when needed right along with the firemen. There would have been several dead bodies in Paulding if not for their actions and it doesn't seem right they were not included in the "appreciation" program last year following the flood. As for the Paulding Fire Fighters, I can't say enough -
Paulding County Public Safety Apprectiation Day Oct 9th
freebird20050 replied to LisaG's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I would personally like to know when the County might get around to showing some thanks to the man who got out of his warm bed at 3:00am after a frantic call from his mother, left his pregnant wife alone, loaded his airboat and worked for almost 18 straight hours delivering more than a hundred people to high ground...some which Cobb rescue had determined "too dangerous" to go in after. He swam with the snakes with a person tied to him with an electrical cord to keep the man from being swept away by the raging water, he was even cursed out by a black woman who was upset that he delivered he -

This is exactly what pisses me off....People like you are willing to work their a** off to make a good living for themselves. Then we turn around and read some article like the attached on what "illegals" are coming in to our Country and being given FREE. Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas is a fairly famous institution and for a variety of reasons: 1. John F. Kennedy died there in 1963; 2. Lee Harvey Oswald died there shortly after; 3. Jack Ruby, who killed Oswald, died there a few years later. On the flip side, Parkland is also home to the second busiest mater

I think this Acworth lady did a good job of summing things up.... We have specific laws and guidelines for entering this country. Why do we continue to ignore them and allow such incidences to continue. Why are the laws not not enforced? I am extremely frustrated to learn that there are so many illegals in this country who are draining our economy of valuable resources, that were intended to benefit legal citizens. It is unfair to the many immigrants who have obtained citizenship to this country by the appropriate guidelines, but it is a horrific tragedy for natural-born citizens to have t

If there is a "surplus" of taxpayers resources, why is it not being spent to keep teachers who are being let go and schools which are being closed due to "lack of funds". Just seems to me the American priorities have become way out of line... Why have laws if everyone does not have to abide by them. Yes, I feel sorry for the girl but I am sure she knows what our laws are. After all, she has been in our school system for years. Is it really that hard to apply for citizenship? How many more illegals are there in KSU who are getting "HOPE" dollars or assistance from taxpayers resources? Wonder
