FreeBird
From the PCSO FB Page:  Campground School Road Shooting (Paulding County, GA) On December 16, 2015 at approximately 11:54 am Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office responded to 229 Campground School Road Dallas, GA 30157 in reference to a follow up investigation on a burglary that had previously occurred at another location. The Detectives went to that residence because they had received word that some individuals that may have information about the burglary were there. When they arrived, the Detectives discovered a deceased white male laying on the front porch of the residence with a gunshot wound to the head. The Detectives then realized that there were people inside the residence. Once they cleared the residence the Detectives began to try and figure out what had occurred. Once the scene was secure, Agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and more Detectives with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene and immediately began speaking with some of the witnesses and persons involved in the incident. After speaking with some of the witnesses it was discovered that three males came to the residence looking for another male in order to confront him about a previous incident. Once they arrived, one male, identified as Alvin Lee Jenks, W/M, 38 YOA came to the front door and had a verbal altercation with the homeowner while the other two males waited in the driveway. The homeowner and Jenks had a heated argument and the homeowner eventually slammed the front door. Jenks was adamant that the male they sought was inside the residence. The homeowner continually stated that the male they sought was not there. A short time later Jenks began kicking in the front door in an attempt to make entry into the residence. As Jenks attempted to make entry, the homeowner, fearing for his life, fired several rounds from a rifle through the front door at him. During the course of the shooting, Jenks was fatally wounded by a gunshot wound to the head. The other two males, who were armed with firearms, fired back at the residence in a loud exchange of gunfire between the homeowner and the remaining two males. The two remaining males fled the scene and left Jenks on the front porch. At this point Agents and Detectives are still investigating this incident. If anyone has any information about what occurred at 229 Campground School Road yesterday (12/16/15) at approximately 11:45 am, please call the Criminal Investigations Division of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office at (770) 443-3015.
