ajc.com Douglasville confrontation ruins child's birthday party with racial threats

A group of young white men riding in pickup trucks with Confederate Battle Flags and spewing epithets are alleged to have confronted a gathering of black residents in Douglasville Saturday celebrating a child's birthday.

 

The Douglasville Police interceded in the confrontation and the young white men were directed to leave the grassy area they had congregated upon - presumably private property owned by one of the folks at the party.

 

There were no injuries and no arrests at the time of the incident but Douglasville police are reviewing the record to see if there are actionable violations.

PS: You get the idea that if they could identify who yelled "we gonna kill yall n*****rs" threat they may be able to make an arrest for terroristic threats ... but without being able to identify an individual responsible, the likelihood of a successful prosecution is nil.

_{There was a group of trucks with American and Confederate flags gathered in the parking lot in front of Subway in Hiram on Friday night. The Hiram Police were there but left and evidently the group was allowed to stay as they were still there when we left. Not sure if this was the same group. They are all idiots trying to stir up trouble....}

To "stage from" is to meet at a predetermined location for organizational purposes prior to embarkation, just with many fewer words.

 

The place in the videos is on the nw corner of the I20 - Chapel Hill interchange. Right next to what everybody in D'ville knows is a middle class predominately black neighborhood.
