kim404
Has anyone ever done this? I believe that is what I've done. What to do about it?
Brian
What kind of wax is it that you swallowed?
Brian
Wax is usually not toxic/poisonous. It will pass, but if you have swallowed a large amount of wax, you might experience some stomach pains.I have swallowed bit of candle wax several times in the past. Nothing bad has happened to me. I have eaten candy and food preserving waxes. I don't do any of these anymore.
HardwareDJ
It will come out in the end.
lowrider
What kind of wax did you swallow and why? I've eaten the wax comb from honey, but that's about it.
cookies are sweet
What in the heck are you people doing to swallow all this wax? To the OP, I know that people have actually eaten candles without any problems, except as was said, stomach ache.
JYD
There is a childs drink in little wax bottles and they bite those off with no bad results.
mimosaflower
Chanel 5 news had a story about a new illegal drug called wax. It is made from marijuna oil and looks like wax.
jennilyn77
I had a fruit bowl filled with fruit shaped candles years ago. They fooled a guest or two. Maybe that's what happened to the OP.
HardwareDJ
I am still trying to figure out how you swallow something and not know what it was.
kim404
Ok, sorry it took so long to reply. I am getting new dentures and they use wax to make a replica of what the acrylic ones are actually going to look like. Well after that appt I kept feeling like something was stuck in my throat and that was the only thing that made sense. Well it got to feeling so bad and when I took my nighttime meds a couple got stuck in the same spot. Went to ER and no wax but pus pockets from strep. Lol!! Anyway thanks!! In case you do swallow some of that wax in the future, just know, you won't be the 1st, in fact, I doubt you will be the 100,001st. I hope you get better soon.
lowrider
At least you found out you have strep and got some medicine and now you'll get well. And I wouldn't worry about the wax.
