There's a massive wreck at Maxham Rd and Thornton Rd. I don't know where ya'll are at, unless they have lifeflight out for two instances today...which would really be sad. It landed in the middle of Thornton Rd. I work on Thornton and just heard about it and checked GA Navigator, said all lanes are blocked. Link to post Share on other sites

I'm guessing he came over that hill and couldn't stop for the light and the car pulled out in front of the big truck. Link to post Share on other sites

He didnt know if they were doing that because the person was deceased, or because its cold. He didnt get a good look. Prayers for all involved. Link to post Share on other sites
tranquility Posted March 23, 2010 Report Share Posted March 23, 2010 When I went through there going south on Thornton Road they had all southbound lanes closed at Maxham Road and had everyone turning right to go around and back up Skyview. They had a patrol car blocking traffic from turning onto Maxham Road. Northbound traffic on Thornton was still moving and a few minutes after I turned right lifeflight was in the air. gaheart Posted March 23, 2010 Report Share Posted March 23, 2010 My DH works in that area. He said that it was a Saturn and that two people were killed. He said that a third went out on life flight. Did anyone see the news coverage on it to see what they said? I feel for the families involved. Thornton Rd is a dangerous area to drive. I drove it for ten years and saw all kinds of things.
