Clark Funeral Home Posted August 15, 2009 Report Share Posted August 15, 2009 Donald Warren “Don” York age 78 of Dallas, passed away Saturday August 15, 2009. He was born November 4, 1930 in Atlanta, Ga., son of the late Reuben and Sadie Belle Pyron York. Mr. York was a Sgt with the US Air Force, and a Graduate of Georgia Tech, University of South Carolina, Georgia State, and LSU where he majored in Banking, a member of Northside Baptist Church, he retired from Georgia Marble Co. with 35 plus years of service and also owned H&R Block Tax Service in Dallas , enjoyed Golfing, and Model Airplanes. Survived by his wife of 52 years Peggy Williamson York, Dallas, Ga. Daughter and son in law Melody and Terry Freeman, Dallas, Ga. Son and daughter in law Kerry and Denise York, Dallas, Ga. 4Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. from Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Curtis Turner officiating. The interment will follow in Dallas Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA. No, he didn't look/act like he was in his late 7 0's; he was always "going" somewhere...every day. He was a great man, a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, with a great sense of humor.
