What has been the past results of hurried school photos of your special needs children. I have seen some awful results but to be truthful, I have seen a few good pictures but not many.

I will be happy to take the time to understand their issues and work around them to capture your child's best image.

I might take you up on that! Im a little gun shy right now to have pics taken, took my WILD 4 year old a month ago to get pics taken for those paper doll stand up things they make, I left crying. He did not want to be there, was fighting me, almost knocked down the mans lights, tried to take the back drop down, he was crazy mad and not having it! Id probably have to get some now of him running in a field!

Sorry to have not gotten back to you in the last 3 days but I thought my DSL was down Friday evening. Was gone all day Saturday and discovered Sunday evening my phone line was pulled down somehow . Just got it fixed a bit ago.

I would like the opportunity to capture your son's best image, inside or out. PM me and give me more information on what his likes and dislikes are. I will work around them. With some planning and making this, "HIS EXPLORE", we have a better chance of pulling this off.

Here are some ideas.

Portrait Ideas for Children

Classic

Traditional, close up or full length length portraits in formal clothing. Whites, off whites. pastels or deep solids. No patterns. Wonderful in a formal or outdoor setting. Bare feet and formal clothing is a personal favorite of mine.

Peachfuzz

Just the thing for a little boy in a hurry to grow up. Your little guy gets to shave with shaving cream and our (bladeless) razor. Best for 3-10 year olds. Even more fun with Dad or Grandpa included. White tee shirts or bathrobes.

Story Time

A quiet portrait of your child or children with a favorite book. Good with simple clothing or pajamas. Especially great with Mom, Dad or Grandparents doing the reading.

Picnic in the Park

Combine your child, a basket of goodies, a blanket and a doll or stuffed animal or two and we have a great outdoor portrait.

Grandparents

Whenever possible, we encourage grandparents to participate, even for only one or two poses. These will become heirloom portraits. Color coordinate clothing.

Dancer's Delight

Classic ballet, tap or jazz portraits celebrate the grace of movement learned through years of lessons.

The Blues

Just right for older children. Bring their beat up jeans, denim or leather jacket (theirs or Mom or Dad's jacket) and favorite sneakers or boots. Works well indoors or outside.

When I Grow Up

Dad's work shirt, Mom's briefcase, or any work related items can make any portrait session "Take Your Child to Work Day."

Sound of Music

A portrait with the piano, violin, guitar or other instrument of choice can mark the beginning of a lifelong appreciation of music.

Collectible

Baseball cards, baby dolls, rocks, just about any item can be important to your child. Include their favorites in their portrait.

Christening

Your baby's Christening gown makes a beautifully timeless portrait, but they outgrow it quickly, so don't delay. Include godparents as well.

First Communion, Confirmation, Bah mitzvah or Bar Mitzvah

All are milestone events in your child's life, and portraits are a wonderful way to remember them.

Mother and Child or Father and Child

Take the time now to capture the incredible bond between you and your child. White nightgowns or simple white t-shirts are great for parents and little ones can be in white or just wrapped in a blanket. Best from 6-12 months of age.
