birdmom Posted March 24, 2009 Report Share Posted March 24, 2009 Things have changed a lot in the past year in the ECONOMY and The Thrift Store industry in Dallas and Paulding. Business has been okay, but people are holding on to their stuff more now than before. We are having to really rally, advertise and locate donations now, where before they were brought to us more. We are helping more families with free clothes and well that is what we are here for and why the IRS granted us a 501c3 status. The reality is still that we have bills to pay each month and nobody pays them for us. The reality also is their is a lot more competition in Paulding County, more thrift stores means donations are being spread thinner than before and making ends meet is harder. Therefore for right now, we need to modify the schedule for the 50c Sale. The 50c Sale takes a lot of inventory. I would like to know which one of these schedules for the 50c Sale would be better and I would like to let Paulding.Com members vote. We will change everything back when it feasible and the ECONOMY improves. Would you rather shop the 50c Sale ONE Saturday a month? OR Would you Rather shop the 50c Sale on a Friday and Saturday EVERY OTHER MONTH? Thank you for voting!
