She was born on February 5, 1954 in Dallas to Myrtle Wallace Smith and the late Bobby Dean Smith. She was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church and was a 1972 graduate of Paulding Co. High School. Survivors include her husband, Bruce Denton; her mother, Myrtle Wallace Smith of Dallas; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary & Kay Smith of Dallas and Kenny & Laura Smith of Dallas; aunt, Kathleen Walker & husband Abner of Marietta; uncle, Leonard Spain of Dallas; her mother-in-law, Frankie Denton of Dallas; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram with Dr. Curtis Turner officiating. The interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA is in charge of arrangements. www.samclarkfuneralhome.com.
