Mr. Pete was such a sweet guy and one of my nicest customers. Prayers are sent to his family.

I'm a financial internal auditor for the company that owns "the power company that takes up the whole state"
I know where you work. Just remember to always practice your "Southern Style"

hahahahaha.. Yesterday, my 4 year old and I were eating dinner with my parents. When we went home, my mom gave me a bag of ABC magnets for 'mini me' to play with. My lovely child asked if she could play with the "maggots" when we got home and stick the "maggots" on the fridge

I get to play with money all day long......just not my own Hubby works for the power company that takes up the whole state

I love the beach!!!!!!! This year we are going to Redneck Riviera. We usually leave early in the morning, but this year we are going in the evening right after I get off work. No schedule while on vacation!!!!!!!!!!

I made pot roast, mashed taters, carrots, and peas. And of course, some sweet tea to go with it.

Hubby said that when he left work yesterday morning about 5 that there we several officers in the neighborhood with the spot lights on looking in the woods. We wondered if someone had escaped.

We used to have BCBS HMO and loved it. This year, hubby's job decided to cut some expenses and went with another plan. I think it is now BCBS PPO and I am not loving it one bit. Our co-pays have gone from $20 a visit to $50!!! It pretty much depends on what the company offers and what your needs are.

Okay.....we went shopping today and drove a Ford Expedition, a Suburban, an Uplander and a Trailblazer.....my uncle works for Chevrolet and could get me an amazing deal, so we went to the Chevy dealer of course....
I went in saying I didn't want the Uplander because of the poor ratings, I didn't want the Suburban because it would cost too much and thinking I would either go with the Expedition or the Trailblazer.
Well, the Trailblazer was immediately too small. Actually, I don't even think we drove it. Next we tried out the Suburban. Now, I know what you all are thinking.....GAS!!!!$$$$$.....me too, but luckily, I work less than a mile from home, so that really won't be a problem for us. We are not planning on moving anytime soon and (fingers crossed) I don't plan to change job locations....so therefore, it was an option. I looked at the salesman and said, I know I'm not going to like this thing, it's too big! I got in, pushed the pedal and I took off like I was on a magic carpet. It drove so smoothly and handled like I was riding in a Caddy!
Then we drove the Expedition. I loved the look of it and immediately thought it was definitely the one. We took it for a spin and I was jerking that thing all over the place. It had WAY too much power for me. When I would turn, all I could think of was that if I turned too sharply, I was going to flip. Also, hopefully, this car will last me until my son has to learn to drive and he would be learning to drive in whatever vehicle I picked. This worried me too.
Next we looked at the Uplander, despite the reviews. It was nice looking, but I kept having that gut feeling and the reminder in the back of my mind of all those bad reviews about the poor safety and the rattling doors. It also was not as roomy as we would like. It had less room than the current Montana that keeled over on me yesterday. It drove like my Montana. The salesman even commented that I seemed more relaxed in it than the other cars.
It came down to the Uplander and the Suburban. The children wanted the Suburban.....because it had a DVD player and you could play video games in it. Hello!!! I have never even had leather seats in a car, much less a t.v.!!! The Uplander had one too. It was a hard decision. I mulled it over and mulled it over.
We decided on the .....................
..........................Suburban. I have a nice, shiny, HUGE, gold Suburban currently sitting in my driveway. Thank you for all of your suggestions and input! I hope that this mondo-vehicle brings us much safety and satisfaction for years to come!
Kelly, I am up for a GNO whenever y'all are.......but can you drive, I can't afford to keep gas in my new gas guzzler!
You will love having the leather seats with kids. Plus the DVD player can be a life-saver if you go on any long trips.

I love my Expedition!!! I was just in a wreck with it and it held up wonderfully. However, if you are looking for something a little bit better on gas, I would suggest the Honda Odessey van. I know several people that own one and they love it.
PS. Since you mentioned you had children, I would also suggest something with 3rd row seating!!! I love having it to seperate my girls when they are "not having a great day"

My senior prom was in 1993 but I didn't go because I have already been to 4 proms by that time and was promed out. I went to 1 my freshman, sophomore, and 2 my junior year.
Is that Chris? Didn't he use to work for coke?
I am sure I would be real cute in it now We should have an 80's Pcom Prom for those who missed theirs and get out the old prom dresses and big hair

ALWAYS!!!
When you're sick she follows you around to check on you, sit in your lap, and goes to sleep with you to keep you warm.
My cat does the same thing. How about my hubby get irritated because I will let the cat sleep next to me. I told him it was because I know the cat doesn't want anything from me

I hear ya!!!

Surely one man can't drink that much beer by himself, can he, in 8 years?
He must have had a lot of help from friends.
And I can't even drink one beer!
Are there people that can really drink 24 cans of beer day after day after day after day?
What does that do to your body, your liver and kidneys?
One would be too many for me.
Unfortunately, I would have to say "yes" to your question about people drinking 24 beers a day. I actually know a few.
