  1. I'm sure most of it is still classified as ongoing investigations continue. It really wasn't a secret that we've been in that area for some time. The news media really needs to learn about OPSEC. Some of the stuff I see them reporting about makes me SMH.
  2. https://www.cnsnews.com/blog/craig-bannister/gold-star-widow-releases-audio-trumps-condolence-call Not to mention, she now has a target on her back since everyone knows who she is. Her family could now be in danger.
  3. I went on Saturday. The crowds weren't that bad. The traffic was backed up and my kids found a different route to go on their phones. We even went over a covered bridge, now that was unexpected. Oh yeah, I didn't buy any apples, but I did try an apple cider doughnut and a pumpkin spice moscow mule.
  4. I don't win anything.....I was just wondering because you said "I know plenty of vets who don't mind" Thanks for answering my question. Yes, I am over the race issue. When I was serving we never saw race or talked about it. BUT we all agreed on one thing we will stand for our flag and respect it.
  5. I state the facts and then you try to attack me...LOL
  6. Well many of them don't pay taxes and are on public assistance. Bankrupt...............
  7. 3 + a few more isn't plenty. There are 4 in my immediate family that don't support the football players. I can think of about 40 people off the top of my head that are mad about it. Not one of my VET friends are supporting them. Stand for the flag and show some respect.
  8. Yet, while they are serving they must stand and respect the flag. I am curious who these VETS are? You know them personally?
  9. By immediately ordering in additional military units as soon as he realized that Puerto Ricans were more intent on striking or collecting import duties than they were about moving relief supplies. That "ineptitude"? There are now over 10,000 US military personnel on the ground in PR and it is they who are doing what the Puerto Ricans refused to do for themselves.
  10. Interesting..From a FB friend. ""broad front of truckers" is the local truck operators union. This Rodriguez character that apparently heads it up is using the disaster as an opportunity to grab power and other concessions from the government of PR and not allowing the truckers to roll until his demands are met. No wonder the loading docks are full of containers and empty of trucks."
  11. Topic Number: 901 - Is a Person With Income From Puerto Rico Required to File a U.S. Federal Income Tax Return? If you're a bona fide resident of Puerto Rico during the entire tax year, you generally aren't required to file a U.S. federal income tax return if your only income is from sources within Puerto Rico.
  12. The truth and not the spin......https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2017/10/02/puerto-rico-has-big-problems-but-president-trump-isnt-one-of-them-glenn-harlan-reynolds-column/721191001/ "This has led to the usual political finger-pointing. The press has been trying to make every hurricane this year into “Trump’s Katrina,” for obvious reasons, but the problem here isn’t presidential. As former Navy Captain and disaster-relief expert Jerry Hendrixtold Bloomberg View: Puerto Rico is an island that suffers from its position in the middle of the Caribbean and its physical separation from th
  13. I bet they would be pissed to know they were kneeling on Gold Star Mother's Day. I'm a VET and all of the VETS I know are not happy about this. I will no longer support or give the NFL any money!
  14. Black is fine especially if it is a theme. I wore a black dress to the last wedding I attended. It was after 6PM so that is acceptable.
  15. He also is a VET with a Bronze star and many other medals.
  16. ANOTHER FOR THE "CAN'T MAKE THIS UP" FILE The Oakland Raiders wanted to stay inside the locker room for the National Anthem, but they would have been issued a penalty. So instead of getting a penalty they came out and knelt instead. So much for sacrifice and convictions.
  17. It also was Gold Star Mothers day yesterday, what a messed up thing to do. Most of their kids probably loved to watch football. How about those over payed football players showing them some respect, instead of protesting people who were breaking the law and then upset the cops were found innocent. SMH
  18. The ironic thing about that is, when you are AD you must salute the flag. And I gotta giggle, they could only get 35 Vets to sign it?
  19. Got my flu shot a couple of days ago. Now that I'm 50, I will make sure I get it every year.
  20. Not sure why that reply was necessary, but if I read the Washington Post, it would be on-line. So that is the same difference. It isn't on the TV news and it does affect my husband and son.
  21. You don't see this on the news. I had to read it on FB. https://www.militarytimes.com/education-transition/education/2017/08/16/trump-signed-the-forever-gi-bill-here-are-11-things-you-should-know/ President Trump has just put his signature on a new law that will bring significant changes to education benefits for service members, veterans and their families. The legislation known as the “Forever GI Bill” garnered strong bipartisan support in Congress, passing unanimously in both the House and Senate. “Today our commitment to support and care for the men and women who have served

  23. I'm curious to know how the gym owner can tell if you are a cop or military?
  24. I'm a Veteran and he doesn't want me in his business.
