Ours went down another $37,000! Couldn't rebuild for what it's worth on that piece of paper.

Tropical Storm Lee to dump heavy rain across metro Atlanta
Skye replied to MillCreek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I'm in North Paulding, and as of this morning, we've received only a trace. The birdbath is still empty. Wonder why we didn't get the rain last night as predicted. -
Are You Really Protecting Your Pet Against Heart Worms

This is a bad brand for many dogs. Collies and some other breeds cannot tolerate the ingredient, Ivermectin. Do your research. We use Revolution which comes in a small liquid vial to be applied to the top of the neck area. This has been great for years. -
Raccoon Mountain cave in Chattanooga is supposed to be one of the best in the South. Oh, and the Chattanooga Ducks (WWII vehicle that takes you on land and in water) is a blast!

We're going to take a few fun day trips: Nantahala river rafting, The Lost Sea caverns in TN, and tubing down the river in Helen. Otherwise, getting braces is the big event of the Summer for my daughter. How exciting!

As an earlier poster said.... to run a business, you have to put some capital into it. I for one, am not suggesting to have it shut down. However, an increase in the # of events should be turned down until certain criteria have been met. I'm sure the commission is working with the applicant to determine what those criteria are, in order to strike a fair balance. Go to the hearing and bring up suggestions on that criteria. You that are for it, don't go to mouth off and say, "We want more events because it's fun and we're not hurting anyone." Be constructive and say WHY exactly you want and

I wouldn't be surprised if the vehicles are no longer allowed to be left overnight. We'll see how things progress. That could be good or bad, depending on how you look at it. Either there could be more chances taken with driving when they shouldn't, or there could be less drinking because they aren't able to leave their vehicles overnight. If the ending time is supposed to be 4 p.m., then maybe someone needs to see to it that it ends at that time - not 6 p.m. or some other time in the evening. The special permit has an agreed-upon time frame for the events. From my understanding, it sta

The hearing is scheduled for May 24th at 2 p.m. This is for hearing both sides of the issue. There, the pros and cons can be handled in a professional, courteous manner - at least I would hope.

Well, therein lies the answer to my question. I found something online about Wesley's events being illegal until the hearing in March of '09. Two dozen people from Reid's Plantation attended that hearing, but it was approved, anyway. I wondered why. Now I see where the support lies.

Just check out what the other most recent #1 topic is right now. That's enough to tell you.

You said it better than I could. It's a good thing building and business HAS slowed down, here. This county is not ready to move forward. They don't want growth here. It's too much to ask to live side-by-side the old and the new here. There just is no compromise.

Well, as they say, there's an exception to every rule.

This is where I found it: http://www.paulding.gov/DocumentView.aspx?DID=100

It appears that this will be in violation of Paulding's Noise Ordinance. See Article III Noise Control. Section 46-62, # 11: "Motorcycles, go-carts and OTHER MOTOR VEHICLES. The operation of a motorcycle, go-cart, or ANY OTHER MOTORIZED VEHICLE in a manner which creates excessive noise, including the continuous riding of any such vehicle past, around, OR NEAR an inhabited dwelling place so as to disturb or unduly annoy its inhabitants." I'm thinking Reid's Plantation is going to fit that to a "T." When is this up for a vote?

I want to know when and how I'm going to have a say-so in this.
