No one was depending on the govt. to do anything other than to make the decision to let everyone go EARLIER rather than LATER (which we have recently learned, is possibly the result of an ulterior motive concerning the govt. not wanting to spend the extra money and the schools holding the kids until noon, so they would not have to make up the day!). Deciding even and hour earlier, may have made all the difference and possibly curbed many of the problems that occurred. I've been impressed with Paulding and Douglas County's Sheriff's Dept but the local police depts. are not quite as impressive. I hope the Hiram Police Dept. can keep their "stuff" together, so as not to be compared to the former Powder Springs and the current Douglasville Police Depts... Nutty, out of control "Barneys" who go off like bottle rockets! No offense intended if you work for either of the police depts. Even the best has its problems and the worst has its good points!
