  1. Thats crazy.....we shouldn't have to abide by ANY of their practices when it comes to him. I can't believe they have already disposed of the body.

None of his beliefs should even be considered, because he and his army sure didn't care about the innocent Americans on 9/11.

Agreed, but I'm already afraid of retaliations because of this. We should be the ones who take the higher ground in this insanity. Remember how you felt when certain folks were celebrating re the twin towers? Anyway, this way cetain people have no "shrine, etc." to turn to - and they can't parade his body in the streets.

I'm willing to bet that we have significant proof that he is the one that was killed. Why else would former President G.W. Bush come out with a statement, or Dick Cheney or Donald Rumsfeld? Were they all also po'd about the results re Celebrity Apprentice? (Does anyone know if Nene and Starr got into a huge fight and who was fired? :p )

  2. I'm changing web hosting companies and it is taking longer than I expected to get the new web site up and running. I think we should be going live Friday or Monday. Sorry for the inconvience but keep checking it. The new site is going to look GREAT!

I look forward to its return, thanks!

  3. Well durn, sounds good to me, but I'm not sure how my husband would take it, LOL!

Seriously - that sounds like a great deal! Just be careful - ask for references, and actually check them out. Roommates are like a box of chocolates, especially on the internet - you never know what you're gonna get. Seriously, be careful.

  4. Fondue --I've got two pots, one for the traditonal swiss cheese and one for sirloin, broccoli, etc. in a pot with hot chicken broth. (We actually did this last night, enjoyed it so much we're doing it again tonight - leftovers, don't you know.)

  5. exactly! Bluegrass is true talent.

There's a lot of true talent out there, it just doesn't seem to sell to the masses unless it's also peddling "sex" in one form or fashion.

OH, MY GOD, I'VE TURNED INTO MY GRANDFATHER (Which is actually not that bad a thing - he was a great guy), LOL.

My point was that talent has gone by the wayside in the main stream. There are still a few folks who can appreciate great talent, i.e. me for instance! :D

  6. I actually heard bluegrass today. My DD was like WTF? I told her it was country before country.

She asked "is that what old rednecks listen too" I said, "only the ones that still have stihls". She went  , I said nevermind.

I've met your daughter, she's a sweetie, so is her dad. Teach her to enjoy it all, and I know that you will. It does a body good to have an open mind about things. There are so many different things out there that we can all enjoy - keep an open mind.

And now.....................I'm thinking grilled cheese and homemade tomato soup. Anyone else game?

  7. My ears hurt. that is worse than yodeling. :glare:

Honestly? Open up your hurting ears and enjoy something more than what they usually listen to. The dear lady that cut my hair today is apprently a huge fan of Gospel - there are some amazing voices in Gospel, as well as amazing talent in Bluegrass. It doesn't have to be your favorite, just respect it for what it is. Ya know? :)

And yodeling, my God, yodeling, well, we won't even bring up that talent.

  8. He's an amazing talent with such insight into other forms of music. I still love the video with him and Chevy Chase (Al), and Steve Martin on the banjo is also so amazing! If I was good at posting videos I'd do it, but I think it's Steve Martin with other artists doing Foggy Mountain Breakdown. I think that's right. I'll go to YouTube and let you know.

Yep, that's the one, him and Earl Scruggs. If you like bluegrass, you'll love that one!

  9. wow that sounds great! Hes a living legend. I saw him play impromtu with Steve Martin(banjo) one night last week on some late night show...he is REALLY so talented and very unassuming about it.

I love his african stuff too ;) .

  10. Thanks you little youngsters you. We saw them a few years ago on their "Reunion" tour. Paid a pretty penny for the tickets, but it was so worth it.

I was amazed with Paul Simon - he switched out guitars between each song, and when Art Garfunkel did Bridge Over Troubled Water - live - well the man still had it - better than on any recording you ever heard.

And I must say, they was one of the best "sing along" concerts I've ever been to, actually, one of the best concerts I've ever been to.

oh you should NOT have gotten me started...

    Well dang, just dang!

    Thanks!

  11. Am I the only fan of Simon and Garfunkel?

Good grief, somebody here has to be close to my age!

    ok

Humor me - I'm old and trying to do housework as I listen to songs to get me inspired.
