  1. Since you have already laundered our pants...............

If the stain in your pants is not more than 4 inches above the knee, take a pair of scissors and cut (in a straight line) across both pants legs, making sure you remove the stain.  Now that the stain is completely gone, hem the raw edges of your newly formed shorts and enjoy until the weather cools. :D

LOL, thanks for that advice! A coworker also told me to toss the pants since they have already been through the dryer (because I didn't notice the mud stains until removing the pants from the dryer), but I like your suggestion!

However, now that I am presented with not only the challenge of getting out a mud stain from khakis, but the extra challenge of getting out a mud stain from khakis that have been through the dryer, I can't give up that easy! Only problem is I'm too lazy to try some of the remedies these "more experienced" ladies have suggested. I'd rather apply some product and toss in the washer and have the stain disappear. I use SA8 detergent so I rarely have to deal with stains. I think I'll try the multi-purpose cleaners, like Formula 409 which is the only product mentioned that I just may possibly already have.

  2. Hmm, PauldingPeach & epMomHF, are you suggesting that I spray the stain with Shout and then use OxiClean also?

I had thought about doing a test using all of the recommended stain-removal products to see which product works better, but really I don't want to spend money on at least three different products, especially when I have been getting by without them until now.

  3. I sit with my Papa and watch them on TV.

I go to my parent's house every Sunday afternoon and have lunch, then we move to the living room and watch the NASCAR race. It is nice to spend time with family when everybody is interested in the activity. My mom just got into NASCAR a couple years ago, but now she is addicted and watches the Busch races and even the qualifying. I can depend on her to keep me up to date with all the latest stats and news.

  4. Thank you for the quick responses. Maybe I'll buy a few of these products and test areas of the stain and see which works best. Since the pants have already been through the dryer, which Shawna says will set the stain, this should provide more of a challenge for the stain-removal products.

  5. my paypal account had been compromised and they had to verify me all over again and changed my info et

What? Did you find this out in an email that was sent to you, or when you tried to send money on the PayPal website?

I often get phony phishing email claiming to be from PayPal saying that for some various reason I needed to verify or change my info. I usually forward it to abuse@paypal.com

  6. I've been to a few races at Talledega, Richmond, & Daytona, and being there is really exciting. However, I never know what is going on, and prefer to watch the race on TV to get all the inside scoop. But this past race at Daytona, I had a scanner and could listen to the TV audio, so I was able to enjoy the race more.

  7. I visited for the first time after hearing about the gun on the bus incident. About a month ago a few friends and I wound up at Buffalo Wild Wings in Hiram just before a game of trivia started. We decided to play, and one of the other teams was "Paulding.com". Afterward, someone took photos of the top 3 teams and said the photos would be posted on here. So I revisted P.com to see our photo, and saw a discussion about Josh Dingler. I wanted to comment, so I signed up and have spent too much time on here nearly everyday ever since.

  8. I like this version better:

Bill and Hillary are at the Yankee's World Series Game 6; sitting in the first row, with the Secret Service people directly behind them. One of the Secret Service guys leans forward and says something to the President.

Clinton stares at the guy, looks at Hillary, looks back at the agent, and shakes his head violently. The agent then said, "Mr. President, it was an unanimous request, from the owner of the team down to the bat boy. And the fans would love it!

So Bill shrugs his shoulders and says, "If that's what the people want." He gets up, grabs Hillary by her collar and the seat of her pants, and drops her right over the wall into the field.

She gets up kicking, swearing, and screaming; and the crowd goes wild; cheering, applauding, and high-fiving.

Bill is bowing and smiling, and leans over to the agent and says, "You were right, I would have never believed that!"

Then noticing the agent has gone totally pale, he asks what is wrong.

The agent replies, "Sir, I said, they want you to throw out the first PITCH!"

  9. We see your FACE right here on your avatar and can recognize you behind the wheel dude :D

Nah, I'd be going too fast :p

Earlier this evening I had honked at a guy who pulled out in front of me on 92 and was in no hurry to get up to the speed limit. Nevermind that there would have been more space for me to slow down had I been going the speed limit, but a cautious/defensive driver is supposed to look long enough to gauge the speed of an approaching vehicle before determining whether or not it is safe to pull out into the traffic. At least he did swerve to the right to allow me more room to go around him in case I didn't slow down in time (but I did slow down and didn't pass.)
