Sorry you are having problems with the 'puter. Having been working with computers for over 35 years let me offer some helpful advice. AntiVirus software does not remove viruses or malware. Its job is to prevent them from infecting your machine. Once infected, the bad stuff has to be removed first, and then you can install a product like Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky, Trend Micro or Avast to prevent future infections. The free versions of these software titles do NOT offer the full protection as the paid versions do, but are better than nothing. Windows Defender is the last line of defense.

What o/s are you running? Ie 11 is OK for 8 or 8.1 but if you had either of those it wouldn't require you to dl adobe. Downloading and installing are two different things. Check your ppropperties to make sure it is active. Chrome is your best solution here. Do not delete ie, just don't use it. Its too quirky.

Granddaddy Longlegs are NOT spiders! Count their legs. They ARE arachnids, of which the spider family are member of. And they are very poisionous.
