  1. I watch and read, but after doing that I decide what to take to the bank or what to leave alone. I don't have a Ph.D. but that makes a difference in regard to what or who to believe. It is a good indication that the person has studied statistics through the light of education. A person is not born with an education. An education is learned statistics. You don't even have to go to school. There have been people who rejected school to study what they believed in. And, what they believed was later adapted as the truth about important things. The theory of relativity was not taught in
  2. People who think money comes from working long and hard is lying to themselves. Money comes from other people's long and hard work. And, when you have gotten enough of it you are nearly invincible in a court of law.
  3. That exactly what Stonewall is referring to. Only it is the American blue that he admires so much, no matter what they do.
  4. As good a philosopher as you are, Pubby, it is not necessary that you go out of your way to gather the goods. I have seen you take what has already been studied by scientists, and engineers, and make comments that enlighten me. that is better than being a full-time journalist, in my opinion. I don't just read stories, and avoid friction. I read the wisdom of the story, and try to comprehend it so I can take it to the bank with me. Mombo Jombo is just not my bag!
  5. I'll have to admit that I am not a publisher. I don't have the credentials and don't take pictures, But, I still believe that cell phone and surveillance cameras do a very good job. I try to go through all of what is said and hope that pictures I post are worth the thousand words they represent to me. Of course, I'm not perfect by a long shot! I can definitely be fooled by a photoshopped picture if I don't know the source very well. Just like this woman had to get a picture from a surveillance camera before she knew who the hit and run driver was. We can't even believe the protect and
  6. I won't say anything now but watch the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGjWSPFBED0 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- People who don't like fake news is more apt to fall for the cops first response to the hit and run case, here.
  7. Whenever a person is paid to write, speak, publish, or work on a job, and they are ordered to say certain things and do things a certain way, it is a bit fake. In fact, a person can get fired for leaking information they are told to use a certain source of communication to discuss. or a certain compartment in which to store classified things. I like social media because I don't get paid to say, and do things.
  8. The difference is whether you are stupid or able to understand reality when you see it, MC!
  9. It sounds like you are very good at looking at both sides of wounded feelings of all of us. "For the past 80 years, alpha has received all the attention. But few researchers seem to realize that alpha and beta levels are related, that as one goes up, the other must go down." - Paul D. Ellis I don't know if you have noticed, but I relate to women more than I relate to men. I grew up with two sisters, and no brothers. So I have noticed that Alpha will rule unless Bata speaks up. You stand up, speak out, and talk back, jenilyn! In dealing with only Alpha it's like having to go up ag
  10. I call it a Republican uprising. We now have more Republicans than we have Cash, Hope, or Jobs.
  11. Fake news is not new, because of the internet. In fact, the internet has gotten out more truth with some of what I call "thousand word pictures," which has not been photoshopped by some network, or some individual. A streamed picture from a cell phone shows it like it is. Our police officers have a separate line to talk on when they respond to accidents or crime scenes. And, officials get more seriously upset by leaks to the public than they get about the actual accident or crime no matter how severe. People just have to be smart enough to decipher things for themselves. And, a non-pho
  12. Maybe he's got money! The justice system works a lot better for people with money.
  13. I see how I have made double posts, before, and now. If my computer takes a minute or two to react to a command I click, I click it again to make sure my click was strong enough, So, I make a double post, while not intentional.
  14. Mr. Empson was sitting in his parked car when a drunk driver, going the wrong way, hit him. Nevertheless, the DUI case was attempting to be concealed, while police carried the perpetrator home! When did it become more important to show preference to a drunk driver than an injured man at the scene of a crash he caused? This reminds me of the case where a Florida State Trooper was harassed after stopping a fellow Officer for driving 120mph to get to an off-duty job. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2556660/Trooper-pulled-120mph-police-officer-sues-500-000-colleagues-haras
  15. Again, mojo! You nailed it. I don't know why people can't see, even with a thousand word picture, as well as you can. I also lean toward police officers. But, I don't think they, themselves, get a fair deal. When they have to check with their superiors and are told to stop talking because a leak to the public might occur, I call that bull chit. A professional doesn't care what people think, he is going to do what is best. The idea that cops protect their own is a reality. If you are a decent cop, it doesn't matter to you that someone is Joe Blow or Max Head, the law works both way
  16. Teaching vs Training Difference between teaching and training is that teaching is a process of imparting knowledge and skills by a teacher to a learner, which involve activities like educating or instructing while training is a learning process that involves the acquisition of knowledge, sharpening of skills, concepts and rules. Both teaching and training is related with building the competencies of an individual. Mostly, teaching is practiced in schools while training is practiced in workplaces. This article does a small analysis about these two concepts, teaching and training. Neg
  17. People are being trained, mrshoward, not taught.
  18. What a great attitude you expressed in your reply, mojo! It is so hard to understand people who support the blue no matter what they do. I can simply understand every word you say. In my honest opinion, it is the people police get their orders from more than any other trait. I know that a cop is either good or bad based on his own department, but cops are trained in certain ways. I just don't think execution should be used when it is clear that a suspect is just stubborn, and not a dangerous maniac. Killing people when they just act stupid might lead to serious consequences. After all the
  19. Cop shoots unarmed man in back, killing him. He couldn't hear the cop behind him, because he was wearing ear phones.
  20. That is what the hammered, wrong way driver did, after crashing and injuring a man. He backed the BLUE! If you come to my house drunk, crashing, and injuring people, you'll meet Mr. Browning and his Winchester boys.
  21. I'm just wondering, E Z! How many of the traits below have you ever been accused of?
  22. Cops are risking their lives less, and less. They are becoming some of the worse cowards I've ever seen. They will kill a man at the drop of a hat, if he jumps and says "boo!"
  23. When police officers are so easy to be manipulated into killing a person, who wants to be dead, it makes me wonder what else they are easily minipulated to do. Is that what happened when Josh Kuiper was able to talk police into not arresting him? Cop who responded to the crash said Kuiper was hammered. Why did he not receive a breath test? Why was he carried home, by the officers? The Georgia Tech student understood what the cop had to do, right, which is kill him?
  24. I like the store pick up, best. I don't trust the people who follow UPS and FEDEX trucks around stealing your stuff. Many stores are smaller, but do a lot of customer pick ups. Never shopped at Toys R Us.
